I think there's actually a fan-made Amazon army book. Someone basically went through all the lore and made (unofficial of course) army books for a lot of the "minor" human factions including the Amazons. They get stuff like Jaguar warriors and special guerrilla warfare rules.Other factions that were given this fan treatment include Albion, base Norscan tribes, Kislev, Estalia, Araby, Ind, Cathay, and Nippon (Games Workshop really didn't try on the last four names now did they). Really good stuff that I personally would advise checking out, because I think they also make some tweaks to Brettonia in order to try to bring it up to date edition wise.

This goes against Norsca's established lore so hard it hurts. CA's interpretation of Norsca is much, MUCH more accurate.

If the Amazons are included in Total Warhammer 2 I hope they won't just get a reskin of Imperial units like Kislev and the Southern Realms have. Then again it'd be fairly hilarious if they did.
I'm thinking a mercenary hero character would be good: make it like in the old TW games where certain mercs could be recruited from certain regions. But in this case you gain a bonus against attrition; if she's killed in combat, then attrition returns. As a result, unit types could remain limited, and generally lore friendly. Perhaps add a capture/impress system instead of payment. Or, they could be a Lizardman dlc pack.
While I dont see them ever as DKC nor FLC, as a NPC faction I see them happening, to add diversity to the map. Ideally one could even recruit their units, either through techunlocks, diplomacy, or conquest? Either way would be cool to see them ... and then a multitude of female units based on their models for the other factions ^^

Man, until I've started watching all of these videos after playing Warhammer Total War, I've never realised the actual depth of the lore that was Warhammer Fantasy. I mean I had the models, played the tabletop game for a while and had most of the old PC games, but I never even skimmed the surface. Just makes me more furious about the fact that Games Workshop destroyed this whole universe because they thought they could make a quick buck with something new. It feels like killing your own kid to be honest.

You do know about this unofficial lore book with army lists or don't you? Mostly the same mix. Cavalry include giant panthers, flightless terror birds and cold ones. It looks like their drugging up their cold ones to make them rideable. The gorillas are cool too. I think games workshop guys grew of the bikini armor phase which is why we never saw an official army list. Hey, could anyone help me with a lore question. I'm pretty knowledgeable in warhammer and of the elves history. But there are two things I don't fully understand. 1) Are elves immortal? If I remember correctly one of the Phoenix kings died of 'old age' and Hellebron who seems to age without a literal blood bath keeping her young, but then you have characters like Malekeith who is immortal but this might be due to dark magics but also Alith Anar who has been around for thousands of years and hasn't seemed to age even without magic. 2) where do the elves come from? From the army books there seem to be 4 options. First is that what the elves believes is true and they were created by their god Asuryon. The second is what the lizardmen claim to be the case which is that the old ones created them. The third is that the elven gods are just how the elves see the old ones, who eventually became separate deities in the chaos realm after the old Ines were killed/left. The fourth option is that elves were created by the elven gods before the old ones arrived and then they were seen as part of the great plan and we're uplifted by the old ones from primitive people to what they are now.
The wizard is Sarthorael in a cocoon form, he appears in the Black Library novel 'Pawns of Chaos' where he's basically dormant until Tzeentch judges the time right to unleash him.
