Because this faction is tied into the Old Ones so much, it makes their story the ripest for development. But my greatest interest is how much they involve the giants. The giants have the saddest story in the entire Warhammer setting. They were just existing all on their own, in solitude. Then the ogres popped up and cast down their society, by no virtue other than being willing to send so many of themselves to their deaths. Now the vast, vast majority of all the giants are dead, and the ogres smash their society into scraps. All the remaining giants are some combination of inbred, deformed, retarded and alcoholic. They're fated to be either slaves or canon fodder. If Albion really does sustain a population of giants, then it's the last chance for giants to have any kind of future, home or family. I'd gladly take up arms to save that.
Seeing how GW seems to let Creative Assembly get, well, creative (wink wink) with Norsca, it wouldn't be surprising to see Albion as a dlc faction in the 2nd game. I see many reasons. 1- The lack of major human factions in the New World map (Araby, norscan raiders, estalian conquistadores...) 2- A particular event in game 1 (the mysterious stranger from the lands of Albion), which may indicate it as a potential faction or place to conquer 3- There's not that many races left to make dlcs. They'll probably want to get creative, seeing how well the games and dlcs are selling 4- It's a place full of mysteries, an human faction with a very different vibe (somewhere between the Empire, Bretonnia and Norsa), different monsters and strong magic 5- The geography. Due to it's place between Norsca and Ulthuan, it would be something of a buffer state that would bring balance in the game. I really hope to see it on the campaign map when the game releases, maybe shrouded in the same form as Athel Loren was in game 1.

What I'd like to see is rogue armies that spawn in Albion whose general is either a truthsayer or a dark emissary and they constantly fight each other. When you did a certain event on Albion you'd be given the option to recruit Either truthsayer or dark emissary lords from cities inside Albion and then you'd have a series of mini quests where you either destroy or protect the ruins culminating in a battle involving Belakor. The reward for this quest would be some Karak Eight Peaks level buff to units recruited from Albion and a massive buff to truthsayers/dark emissaries.
Can you please make a video or 2 showing off all the scrapped/discontinued armies, races, units and magic lores such as the Pygmies, Fimir, Zoats, Lore of Athel Loren and etcetera as I would love to learn all about warhammers history and I really enjoy the way you do your videos that is why I'm suggesting it to you :) I hope you make a video like that as it would be pretty awesome and it could give ideas to what units might and or could randomly be added to any of the official army's
Completely agree! I find some of the smaller factions/races to be the most interesting and would love more coverage of these, kinda like he did with the fimir lore video.
This could defiantly be a dlc for the second game especially with nosca in the works now. Belkor, the fimir(who want to be part of chaos again so they follow Belkor), and corrupted priests (subfaction 1) could fight the Mage mercenary and the druids with giants (subfaction 2) and both sides could have Albion warriors which would be similar to norscan troops (CA would have to flesh out the roster a bit) but with ward saves and magical damage on all units and the faction strength would be magic and melee. once one faction conquers the other they could recruit the other faction's troops (the fimir give up and work as mercenaries for the druids and the giants and druids become corrupted) then each side makes a play for the great vortex after which archeon shows up with a chaos host to stop the druids or punish Belkore. The island would be covered in mists causing massive attrition and bad naval events at sea. The Dlc could be called "The Daemon and the Druid." In theory anyway...
The older version of Albion was far more interesting. Don't get me wrong love the Celtic late bronze age vibe; but the older version took in some concepts from Arthurian legends as well as some Irish, Welsh and Scottish mythology. It was more interesting than the current.
I would have loved to see that be true, unfortunately they’ve mixed the Arthurian legends with bretonnia- which makes sense due to their knightly focus and the love that King Arthur legends got from the real French. However the Arthurian legends originate as a Romano-Briton (Welsh) myth and it possible could have worked that the bretonnians borrowed their embellished version of Arthurian culture from the people of Albion. Perhaps a man called Arthur once conquered not only his homeland of Albion but also the lands of bretonnia. Merlin could have been responsible for the chaos draining stone Henges.
Marrying Ogre Kingdoms and Albion lore it is logical to asume that those giants created by the old ones were the species known as sky titans, with a small portion of their population having been present on Albion. I mean the Sky Titans were kind of advanced. They had cannons and there's no real indication they learned that from dwarfs like the humans iirc.
Ogham is an Irish word for an ancient writing system (and also the name of a God of writing who supposedly invented it). Not sure if your pronunciation was the "official" one for WH, but in Irish, the G is not pronounced. It would be said closer to "oh um". It's frequent in Irish for letters to get "eclipsed" by an H that comes after them.

Luccini is the not-Rome of Tilea (not Remas, which is more like not-Venice). It has two founding twins who its citizens worship as gods, the twins were suckled by a leopard as babes, its ruler Lorenzo Lupo dresses like a Roman and prefers fighting on foot "like his ancestors", etc. They don't dress or fight like Romans anymore (except for, again, Lorenzo), but there you go.

Inquisitor Thomas ca have had a giant amount of creative freedom In the past with lots of factions so id love to see them flesh out minor factions with new lore and by expanding on old lore aka the cold lizard people (name escapes me at present) in norsca roster like they would only a thing in second edition.
Dark emissaries already have an appearance in tww, as an event where they offer money in exchange for chaos corruption. Probably would have been worth mentioning.
There is a fan produced army list out there with more units and more detail. Cavalry, celtic chariots, sidhe, centaurs and pixie swarms. A few other fun bits and pieces. We have seen creative assembly use these fan army list elements already with a few units in the Norsican army being similar to fan lore but not in the main army lists.
Inept General, I've still have a few questions to speculate. Would the mist surrounding Albion be similar to the one in Ulthuan? Are the Ogham Stones the same as the High/Wood elf Waystones? Are they still relevant in use, as in, should they be taken down in the current Total War timeline could it affect the Vortex?

As far as the stones the Ogham stones are thought to be far more powerful than way stones the elves who have made it to albion have been known to marvel at how insignificant they make waystones seem but are baffled as to how to recreate them. The mists are similar as defensive measures. The difference I guess would be elves know how to control and maintain the mists if need be but that knowledge is lost to the people of Albion.
The mists of Albion actually remind me of one of Athel Loren's ways of tripping up trespassers. It would be appropriate that anyone just trying to sail close to the island shores would suffer attrition.

Nippon are even more unlikely than Albion, seems the closest we're likely to get is 'maybe' cathay manning the great wall at the south eastern edge of the 3rd game, and that's also relatively unlikely still, Norsca was actually an established army with a range of models and published character & special unit rules, like for those Mamoths, just no published army book that I remember, people own & played the army.
doubt it will be a mini campaign cuz they said they wont do anymore of them and just give more LLs but would be cool if they included in the grande campaign
Sorry they are not in the game :( According to the map, Albion is controlled by the Skaelings, a Norsca (non playable faction according to table top) faction and some how took over Albion from the bone grinder giants. Also you forgot to mention the Bone Grinder Giants that they have access to because they are confirmed to live in Albion according to the Monstrous Arcadium.

Oh, and maybe even a fantasy *"Angevin Empire"* too would be cool to! I like the idea of fantasy counterpart cultures with a bit of alternate history fiction, similar elements but different outcomes.
What do u think about this: every 15 turns or so all giants from your army disappear to simulate gathering on island only to be returned after few turns some of them with damaged health or dead as a result of their" arguing? In return they should have range attack and\or lower price

I made up my own imaginary Albionese culture and army: it's a faction of fascistoid, genocidal human supremacists, who kinda resemble the Victorian English in the way the Empire resembles the Holy Roman Empire, who want to wipe out all non-human sapient races, using riflemen, artillery, air ship bombers, world war I style airplanes and walking tripod fighting machines.

Johnny Thunder they might be too advanced for WH fantasy, but it could easily work in AoS, since Steam Punk technology already exists there already.
