You also answered everyone's questions and went out of your way to test things for people. You are awesome keep up the great work! Since XP Pen display or Wacom are the only competitors, the price is right! I paid almost 3k for my 1080p Wacom Cintiq 24" 6 years ago. When it breaks, I know what I will teplace it with. Thanks for the review!

    tip: show the BACK of the pen display too. this is one thing nearly all reviewers consistently fail to do. it can be helpful to get a good look at all sides of the device; front, side ports and the back. for example, it might be useful to see if the device has VESA mounting holes

    Thank you! This was very, very helpful! I'm a scientist who is looking at this for vector illustration of diagrams for explaining research, so precision of Bezier curve control points is important. Your review answered my questions about parallax and lag, and also got me thinking about raster artwork. I also appreciate your thoroughness and organization. Thank you!

    Also regarding longer cables, the solution is very easy! It is possible, but trying to find USB-C extender with a plug slim enough is almost impossible. So I bought an HDMI extender (4K) and USB 3 extender. The Huion power cable is already long enough. Works like a charm with Kamvas Pro 13!

    I feel a bit conflicted about these. I'm glad other companies finally caught up with displays but no matter which company when I see a 4k screen on a 16" display it makes me wonder if that's even necessary. I used to have a full hd 16" and it was already barely noticable, I could imagine for size like this a 2k screen or something similar would probably be just as clear as a 4k one :0.
    Anyway nice to see the review and the new screen!

      I am sure 4K has sense on a 16 screen if matte coating is not too visible. For exemple: on Cintiq Pro 16" the coating is sooo glared that 4K is totally useless.

      Sony has read your complaints, and made a 4K panel for their 6" smartphone.
      Seriously though, my msp from Wacom has a 1440p screen, and it's nicer than the 13" cintiq pro my friend uses. You really have to pixel peep to see it though.

    There is a store in my country that already selling these 4k models, and near the table there's a lot of tablet which is free to try inside the store, so I tried this one It's barely noticeable compare to 1080p 16".
    But I'm sure it's very beneficial to those whose working for bigger canvass and much more detailed , but I still consider a 4k on 16" a gimmick

    • @PlazDreamweaver
      @PlazDreamweaver 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As someone who puts a decent amount of detail into their character art, the difference is EXTREME. I can zoom in as much as I want and not see any pixels. However, on a 1080p display, I barely zoom in and even my line art becomes incredibly pixelated to the point where I can count the pixels.

  • @Arkogelul
    @Arkogelul 3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    24:33 I disagree. It also comes down to the latency of the display (and maybe the software/brush).
    And I'm surprise you didn't notice a difference with this one because the latency is pretty important
    (Wacom Cintiq Pro 32 : 8ms / Kamvas 22 plus : 14ms / Kamvas Pro 16 Plus 4K : 25ms).
    And it shows, even on this very video.
    I really don't understand why latency isn't something more considered in those review videos. This is such an important aspect that actually makes a difference between drawing on paper and drawing on a screen.

    • @Desalisme
      @Desalisme 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      25ms is quite big and noticable for such a 'Pro Plus' device. I already own the standard Kamvas pro 16 for my second monitor (watch video reference) and you'll notice some ghosting there. I think I would go for 22 Plus if I want to upgrade. Since 4K is overkill for 16" screen.

    Some people are saying there isn't much of a difference between 4k and 1080p in 16" tablets, but I have to ask them if they've even used either display. Because there is an extreme difference. In my 1080p display, I can count the pixels after barely zooming in, even at 700ppi. On my Huion 16 4k, I have yet to be able to see the pixels no matter how much I zoom in.

    Hello Teoh Yi Chie!
    Thanks for all your videos, they are great!
    A question: I have a budget of 900 dollars, and I am deciding between this tablet for its 4k, and for the same price there is the Kamvas Pro 24, although in your video of the Kamvas Pro 24 you said that there is a paragliding problem in the edges, sides and in the corners of the tablet, that's why I ask you:
    Do you suggest the Kamvas Pro 16 plus for its 4k, or is the Kamvas Pro 24 recommended?
    And please one more question, the use I intend to give the tablet is for: drawing, 3d modeling, color work and video. Can they endure continuous work for more than 8 hours, or do they have to be switched off after a certain time of use?
    Thank you very much for all my friends, take good care of yourself, greetings from Bolivia!

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      In terms of value for money, Kamvas Pro 24 is better. The 1440P user interface on 27-inch is better for productivity than 1080P user interface (in sharp 4K) on 15-inch.
      So unless you really need 4K, I would recommend the Kamvas Pro 24 instead.
      They can be used for long hours just like any monitor.
      Oh, Huion is going to release another 24-inch monitor soon. If you can, wait till mid July to see their new model before you decide to buy.

      Thank you so much for responding Teoh Yi Chie! I was sending you this message, because the Huion Kamvas Pro 24, is with a small discount where I live. and I wanted to take advantage of that promotion, which is for three more days. On the other hand, the new Huion Kamvas Pro 24, for sure it will be much better, but it will also come with a more expensive price perhaps. Ayayayayyy ... have a little more patience and look for a little more money for the new 24 Huion? Or with what I have now, take advantage of that discount promotion for these three days this week? Question 1: Do you think that 4k resolution is overkill for a 16-inch display? As in, is it not really worth having a 4k display for something that small? Question 2: Do you think that it is too small of a display for more robust animation software? Really appreciate your videos and thorough analysis! Putting aside the difference in price, which would you choose between the Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5K) and the Kamvas Pro 16 Plus (4K)? At this size, do you feel the increased pixel density is worthwhile? The absence of Express Keys are also of no concern, since I intend to use my keyboard and likely will be "mounting" either of these tablets on a laptop arm. Thanks for your opinion.

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The price absolutely has to be considered since the 4K model is noticeably more expensive. And because of that, the 2.5K provides more value. The upgrade from 1080P to 1440P is more noticeable compared to 1440P to 4K. You also need to be sure your computer can drive 4K smoothly. Most computers can drive 4K but the big question is now smoothly.

      @mnap1595 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teohyc Thank you for the response, Teoh, I really appreciate it! However, I think it somewhat misses the heart of my question. For context, I was originally considering the Kamvas Pro 24 4K but decided a 16" display is likely suitable for me. By going down in size, I already consider that to be a savings of $400-600 over the Kamvas Pro 24 4K and Wacom Cintiq Pro 16.
      Assuming, then, that someone handed you the Kamvas Pro 16 4K and 2.5K and, without telling you their prices, asked which you prefer purely based on features and user experience, which would it be?
      Do you think the increase in resolution provides a better experience? As mentioned, the Express Keys provide no value to me. In other words, $400-600 savings may already be more than sufficient for me, but if the increased pixel density is just not noticeable, then perhaps I move down further to the 2.5K. I'm the type to prefer to pay more now than to pay twice later, so this is a real struggle for me where it may seem an obvious choice to others.

      @@mnap1595 4K will definitely have sharper visuals vs 1440P. If budget is not a problem, 4K is obviously better. Is the initial activation force on this feather light? Will it pick up a line with only the weight of the pen, or does it require some pressing to get a line? I think I'd like to buy one of these, but I definitely need a pen that I don't need to stress my hand at all to get a line out of.
    I haven't been able to try any of these competitors, but Wacoms and the Apple Pencil feel great to me, where Samsung S-Pens and Windows pens always seem to require more force to activate. If it feels like a Wacom in this regard then I am really interested in this device.
