The new head is more accurate to the movie. But I kinda like how the current one makes him look a bit more like the original Optimus Primal. I do wish Hasbro had given him a second head with the full face plate to give us the option though.

My kit gets delivered in about a week! I have all the figures so hopefully it turns out OK! I thought $35 was a bit much as well and thought $25 should’ve been the price

I like that Rhinox gets an integratable mallet, Cheetor gets new feet and paws, everyone gets holograms basically, but why did DNA skip out on Airazor? She could have at least been given new arms that are proportional to the rest of her body and a panel for her beast mode to cover up all that hollow space on her stomach and give her a new beast head. Atleast

I agree w/ what you said about the feet, and holograms (1 of the key, and Cybertron/Earth) It would be cool if the chain was a bonus accessory, and Prime or bee could have his axe and Primal could be a voyager. I don't really understand why these kits are so expensive.
I hope DNA does an upgrade kit for SS-110 Shockwave. The lack of Bicep joints, barely posable feet, and non-posable hands kinda kills it despite the magnificent appearance
I actually find it verry disappointing that in 2024, optimus prime does not come with a transformable head as standard, considering there are takara figures that have it, and those came out more than 10 years ago.
I think Cheetor could have used an entire set all to himself, with better cheetah and bot mode headsculpts being a must! I actually modded my Rhinox to already have weapon storage in beast mode (literally just have to drill one hole) and there's a really nice upgrade head for primal already available (that also adds LEDs and a better range of motion) so Cheetor is the shining star of this kit to me and the rest is kind of useless.
I like the hologram accessories but I wish they were sold as a separate pack. They're fairly generic accessories that could be used with many Transformers.

Upgrade kits like this are why I don't think having Studio Series release alongside new movies is a good idea. The point when SS came out was that they were more accurate versions than what came out with the original movie, so having 2 versions (or often more) release at the same time stinks of money-grabbing and leads to things like mismatched sculpts & designs. Then companies like DNA Design can put their effort into actual improvements rather than fixing what was messed up in the first place.
Not to hate but we do see Optimus Primals mouth in the movie during the final battle, just for advice watch the movie(s) that the kit is based on before you film the review, again not to hate but it would make you seem like a professional toy reviewer.

The only thing I wish they'd included in this upgrade kit would be an articulated tail for Cheetor.
Or I can just modded the tail but cut 2 lengths of Tails by adding mini ball joints. Would likely to do that. But shorten a moment
