Only reason people want sup it's because he was the 1st bot combiner l.e. nostalgia and because he's supposed to go only against menasor according to some because again G1. 😂
To be completely honest, I was on the verge of selling my completed Menasor now that I got the final Stunticon last week. I was just so underwhelmed by the final look. I have to say this DNA upgrade might actually persuade me to keep it! Honestly, I would LOVE an KO Oversized of Menasor. The bigger the better! lol

I agree. I don’t like the silver piece obscures the face from looking left and right. Especially with the new rifle, looks like you couldn’t see what your shooting at lol. Every thing else looks great though.
Waiting for my copy of this Kit and Breakdown to Ship! Very excited to get this all combined as I have left all my other Stunticons in package until I had everything in had to enjoy a full experience of this team! Another great review as always.

The main thing I was expecting/looking for was a leg fix so you can display him with the cars forward on the legs. That's the main thing I would want an upgrade kit for.
Concerning the sword not staying on Menasor's back... In my kit, I had to slightly file the thin, rectangular tab on the sword cross guard. If you look closely, it's not a perfect rectangle. It only took me 1 minute to fix with a very thin file.
Wasn't there an upgrade kit that made it so Wildrider and Breakdown were on the front side of the legs? Also, what's up with them being behind the legs instead of the front?
It's great that this is available for those who want it. Currently at $73 on ShowZ it's just too much without knowing if the same upgrades can be done to future gestalts who will probably be in scale with the Legacy line. For me the bees knees is getting a new trailer designed from the ground up, remove the base gimic, in scale with CW Devy. I get the cars probably would look puny, but man that would be awesome!
If I were given the task of making a set of the five Aerialbots they would be upgraded to the current jets that the military are using now. With Silverbolt I would go with the Darkstar jet from Top Gun Maverick to create him.
Alright, got him upgraded...And i kinda wish I had only done half of it. His waist is screwed up now due to the skirt not pressing against the ratchet waist properly and it's impossible to properly upgrade his legs due to springs in them with only one junction point.
im surprised they werent able to integrate the chest piece, the length of the shoulder vents is perfect for the extended thighs with a few modifications and a set of hinges at the base.
I pre-ordered mine 7 months ago and I didn't get an extra sword. However I did get another version of the piece that holds the sword and acts like a trailer hitch that actually works so I'm happy.

If they were not going to make the chest piece capable of being implemented in the transformation, they could have included the auto-roller that formed the chest piece of the original toy.
Instead of shoes they should have made replacements for the knee joints so you can rotate the calf cars to the front, that way you could actually see them and pretend that it is a combiner and not a giant robot with car armor.
I wish they would have omitted the pieces for the left over section and maybe charged a little more and given us a nice gun that could use the tab and slot method of being held in the hand
This is awesome. One thing I would probably wish to see is maybe some mention of a Shattered Glass Menasor and maybe a gen-selects multi-pack SG Insecticons.

I struggled with reinstalling the ratchet joints into his replacement hip piece until i realised the ratchets were a little larger than the alcoves they were being installed into. They just needed to be pushed into the alcoves with a little bit of force using the tips of my tweezers and then they went in no problem. Installing the spring-loaded leg joints into the thighs was a NIGHTMARE. That might just be my fumble-fingered incompetence talking though.
This set accomplishes a lot. But overlooks two key points to me: ease of use, you're basically lego-bricking the toy from one from to the next, and even more important to me: 5mm pegs in the hands. Any 3P part or heck, any other weapon the line and past lines come with cannot be held by Menasor. And there's more than enough realestate in those hands. So, alas, a skip for me, like the last battalion of DNA kits, this one also seems to be missing the mark imho.
I probably will not end up getting this kit mostly because I applied the toyhax labels to motormaster's trailer and it will not flow into the trailer extension.
Hmmm. 1:11...it's REALLY CLOSE, but not quite on the money. The stickers there on the G1 toy are a red outline around a silver background with a thin black grid...guessing they're supposed to be vents or something. (You even showed a pic of the G1 toy, at 6:18) This makes me reconsider gettin' the Stunticons, but it's gonna be tough thanks to Hasbro's typical abysmal distribution and Target's equally abysmal stock ordering practices.
All I really want are leg extenders and a bigger sword. The rest seems a bit of justifying price point to me. I think I'm looking for a $20 or at most $30 kit.
Upgrade kit for a $200 combiner. Lately these kits are starting to feel more like necessary fixes than upgrades. (Sludge) I fear the better these kits are made. The more sloppy Hasbro will become
Am I missing something when it comes to getting the original chestplate off? I see videos of people popping it off like it's nothing but mine is on a swivel that feels like it's going to break if I apply any more pressure.

Its a real mixed bag. I wish we could buy the upgrade parts we want and skip the ones we dont. I'd take the sword, hands, thighs and feet and they can keep the rest. $70 to $100 for the kit is also a tough pill to swallow for a combiner thats already the most expensive chug piece I own.
I wish they made an upgrade to turn the vehicles to the front on the legs, other then that it's a nice set. He needed to be taller articulate hands and a better sword for sure. It's like they work together so you have to spend more money after spending so much on the figures.
@Starling Valverde Rojas I'll check it out they needed to do that so bad, in my opinion. It will be nice to be able to see all the vehicles at once and be able to pose them. All they have to do is make the knee hinge bend the opposite way. I haven't tried it yet but I was wondering if you could take it apart and turn them around so they bend the opposite way that they do now so the vehicles face forward. With the vehicles facing forward, you could just pose them and not have to depend on them to hold the figure up. The feet hold it up good already. Hopefully, that doesn't change if they turn around. If there's a Clarence issue, they could make the joint extend and contract if it needs to. If you want, you can just change it back so the cars are in the back of you want to. Thanks for the heads up, my friend.

Um. The chest is inaccurate to the Generation 1 Menasor. The original Menasor has a Decepticon symbol on his chest plate. And the blade of the sword, well, I have mixed feelings about it due to the way it looks in the Generation 1 show due to animation errors. AND Menasor DOESN’T have a giant rifle; he has a normal blaster for him to use in combiner mode, along with two extra guns on the undersides of his arms. So, in short, the new chest plate and the new “blaster” are definitely not going to be added in my future Menasor toy.
Overall the kit just has more than I want which makes the price high. The thighs are nice since it makes the proportions better but other than that I mostly want a new sword and a proper gun for an upgrade.
My only desire from this set is the sword. Is it 5mm compatible? I ask because a buddy will give the pink sword by itself since I don’t want the rest of the kit.

Great kit, I prefer the original chest piece, so I left the upgraded one in the box. but it's definitely a quality piece of gear.

I do like that the chest piece doesn't just slide on over the default one, since mine broke a part off during transformation.

Stunticons...the only combiner in which you DONT need the cars to make Menasor.
Sure wish they added a piece to somehow prevent the rear wheels on the trailer from flexing outwards. Like an axle bar that attached between them.

Nice kit but I fill that needs more time and effort to be a great one, specially work on chest and make all pieces usefull too on base mode.
