Thank you! Didn't really think it would work cause none of these "too good to be true" quick fixes do, but it did! Acceleration is crisp, clunck in the transmission is gone, feels like a new car again. BMW 530d 2002 automatic (euro spec).

Ha this worked! Transmission shifts a lot smoother now
On the 325i m sport automatic, plant your foot on the accelerator, turn the key to position 2 do not start the engine, then wait 10 seconds, after 10 seconds release the accelerator and take your key out, wait 10 seconds then put your key in and start the engine, all the lag etc will be gone.
This worked for my 328i which had delayed shifting. Thank you AMAZING Road TV!
It's 2024 and this method worked perfectly I believe in certain models same method applies for throttle reset but it's 90 seconds
This seems to work with my E46 2001 320i. The gear box is more responsive, shifts are a lot smoother. Thank you.

Just FIY - this procedure *does not reset the gearbox* but reset the pedal learning memory. Your pedal adapts to your driving habbits and that is what you delete with this video. Resetting your gearbox can damage it if you''d figure out how to do it as you would need to go through a pretty complicated relearning process. If not then you can start saving for a new gearbox.
So there's a gearbox reset also... just bought car a few days ago tryna fix everything . What he did only resets how the peddle works you

Why would anyone give a s*** about a fake watch or not the guy is helping you out with your automatic transmission and this trick does really work BMW charge you £200 to do this they park the car in the garage spend 30 seconds on it and leave it sitting there for an hour

It's works. Now the gear is so smooth that I can't understand when it change gear. It gives you a feeling of cosy , calm and security. In fact the whole car gives you these feels.
So before you reset your gearbox, did you felt sometimes when he changed the gear? I felt sometimes when it changes gear from example 4 to 2 in uphill
This worked on my BMW 330D 2004. Car would jerk from gear 1 to 2 during driving. Now its smooth

@@chawlahariwansh the gearbox adapts/learns how it is driven, resetting it means it will learn your driving style. Mercedes do the same thing as i am sure others do too.

Question, when would it be appropriate to to perform this procedure? I also ask because I am planning on doing the first trans filter and fluid change at 240k miles so I am wondering if this will help after the new fluid goes in, appreciate any tips

I have 182 thousand miles and I don't think the fluid and filter has been changed I'm thinking about doing it,, I'm getting my 02 sencers done in the Exhaust then I'm gonna try this it's just not accelerating after 40-50 miles an hour like it use to, I feel a little hesitation

you safe my life. I was on highway and after i turn off engine below error appears and your fix help me to solve it.
vedio was helpfull it did reset my trans computer now shifting through all gears although a little rough,so will have to check that out separately I think it's low fluid.
There's a "Procedure" you must run it through to calibrate the gears.
So was your car stuck in limp mode and wouldn't shift?
I have tbe gear ⚙symbol on my dash and my car jerk when I brake sometimes and jerk when shifting to drive or reverse on my bmw 530i 2001. Will this fix the issue you think?

When I start my x5 no sound comes from speakers but all tones and screen displays work fine radio is on no sound when I unplug the fuse and plug back in sound works but stops if I leave car off about ten mins or longer

I think it makes your trans learn all over to how u first set in the gears and changing of the gears when u step on the gas but that's what I think could be wrong

2007 M6 SMG Problem - HELP!!! Hydraulic pressure too low using GT1 Dis to run transmission adaptation.
Problem:
The old hydraulic pump was bad so I replace with a new motor, the car was able to start but was not able to drive long, maybe about 25 miles and the car just shut off, all light on dash comes on with the red cog of death. It says I need to perform transmission adaptation but while performing the adaptation with GT1 Dis it fails, said the hydraulic pressure to low. Everything passes except that part.
Troubleshooting:
- got it in the air, topped off CHF11s fluid to SMG tank. It was a little low, but not much
- replaced both salmon and black relay close by
- at this point, SMG pump can be heard when opening door/etc
- the car stayed for a few days after that upon door opening pump started and I was able to start car and shift gears...
Everytime car doesn't start I use the GT1 and manually activate the pump, pressure raised to 85 shutdown value in like 5 seconds.
- after that car starts and was able to go shift in gear.
- when trying to do SMG adaptation with activating pump manually prior to that - it starts, goes into transmission adaptations and falls out with error "hydraulic pressure is too low". About to wire a manual switch to salmon relay lol
Any ideas? Could it be one of these that is bad?
1. Pressure accumulator Part# 23 01 7 838 933
2.Temperature sensor water/oil Part# 13 62 1 433 076
3. Pressure sensor Part# 23 01 7 838 936
Maybe losing pressure too fast or could this also be the hydraulic pressure sensor or oil/temp sensor? Why pump operates perfectly when I manually run GT1 to engage it, but not turning on on low pressure? Pressure sensor bad?

Does this specific reset here you've shown us how to do cure the issue or issues that may of intermittently come up on dash display as code for the automatic transmission gear box and what ever is associated with it? Amazing Road TV my e38 all of a sudden started ravving loud sort of like a gear grinding when i would get over 25 miles an hour then on a super cold day i went to start the car it started but couldnt roll forward or backwards all i hrar is a zipping gear like sound like somthing is spinning freely the sounds coming from the rear under part of car what can this be and what should I do?

I have a 525i 2007 Automatic, lately i feel the car is not responsive to the throttle like before especially when I'm cruising at normal speed (between 40 and 60Km/h) and then decide to accelerate more ... the problem is the car is lagging and not accelerating correctly. Searched in several forums and found the transmission adaptation same as the one you are showing but many people said that it would be temporary and the issue will come again also they suggest to add the sprint booster others suggest to update the software. What should i do?

Dashboard doesn't show that the transmission is in adaption learn mode, also what about the specific sequence of steps? For example place into drive for x amount of seconds then into r ect
That question that you are asking I think you though you only do that when you change transmission oil, just trying to know if I am on the right track.
that's throttle reset nowt to do with transmission...reason your foot is down to kickdown as that shows ecu 100% throttle only way to re adapt or reset transmission is through software like inpa or diagnostic programmes

My 2002 325i will kick up to 2nd gear no problem but when I try to accelerate it isn’t really pushing hard, I just got 4 new tires, you think this might help?

your 325i might have a compression problem. Run a compression test, you can get them for around 20-30$ or rent one for free at like auto zone

This actually worked on my 01'740iL. Idle immediately went from 600 to 700rpm. Thing is my car goes back to 600 after half an hour. Im still working on it

Will this work in my 2007 e92 335d? The problem I have is every single downshift is shifting to 1st gear even if in 4th or 5th if I downshift it's shifts to 1st gear and I do not know what to do I've tried everything I can think of but still no luck

I have a 2003 325i. I think it's stuck on the 4th gear and the reverse is very weak as well. I tried doing this and it didn't work. I tried erasing the P0700 code from it but it doesn't turn off. What could it be?
Unless you're looking to rebuild a transmission, P0700 code majority of the time results in needing a new transmission.

This does not reset the adaptations. Reset must be done using diagnostic tool. You mat see a temporary change but it reverts after a brief time

My BMW 520i goes to the gearbox safe mode several times and when I switch OFF and ON again it make a reset but now stay that permenatly. I tryied the above but does not work for my car to make a reset, can you help please?

Hi is your first and second gear out of synchronisation with the engine revs per minute the engine revs up hard but it does not go in first and second until you slow down and then gets normal speed and then re accelerate going up into 3rd 4th 5th is this the problem you got I service X5 and X6 gearboxes so if you need any problems sorting get in touch let me know the precise problem you're having I'm on Facebook James
