I took a weekend trip to Krakow in October of 2019 when I was studying abroad and it is still to this day my favorite city that I have ever visited. Thank you for putting out this video! It was really nice to see all the same places and streets again
This was my first time seeing Krakow on TH-cam and I am highly impressed. Thank you Kaja for taking us along to explore this beautiful city. And it was a realistic tour without the usual glossy stuff that youtubers do.
Thanks Kaja cannot believe the timing of this video! I just started my new job this week and many of my colleagues are in Poland, my manager actually lives in Krakow! He guessed a Chinese won't know of the place and said 'it is a small town I won't find on a map'. What a humble man. BTW I didn't have much time to watch youtube videos so didn't know your book! Just bought one on Amazon!
A nice video! Explore 🇵🇱 Poland's diverse culture, history, customs, and traditions. Each region of 🇵🇱 Poland has its own beauty. The more you explore the country, the more you understand how beautiful 🇵🇱 Poland is.
Welcome from Vancouver, British Columbia. Thank You, for this lovely video. Beauty !!!!!, beauty !!!!!, what a lovely place to live. We went to Krakow, last year, and we had a good time, and we have a nice memories. Thanks.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
We spent 2 and half months in Poland last November for a holiday (Warsaw & Krakow) we really love Poland so much were trying to figure out getting a longer stay visa. Love your videos! Ahh! Vistula river ❤️
I’ve been living in Kraków for a few months and I absolutely love it - always something to do here! It can be Monday night and there’s so many events, you must come visit again soon perhaps in summer :))
Nice! I was born and bred in Krakow, travelled quite a bit, and have this to say: the place has all it takes to live an exciting and meaningful life or just spend a nice couple of days walking, eating out and, last but not least, finding inspiration. Indeed, I moved away like 15 years ago as I think the only category of people who may stand to gain by living elsewhere is couples with young kids: there is this heavy traffic in places, the air used to be bad (now the city has gone green and banned coal-burning stoves, a big game changer) and it is getting built up, plus the notorious football rivalry. By comparison to Warsaw, salaries used to be lower and the ratio of the huge number of educated people (a big majority of adults are HE graduates) to good jobs used to be discouraging. Now this too has changed for the better and apparently you can have better earnings than in Warsaw (real estate is more expensive, too, though). You have nicely captured the atmosphere, created by all those old buildings. I mean you benefit being surrounded by art and have this sense of historical depth to contemplate the meaning of life, your sense of belonging, slow down and possibly get spiritual. Of the things worth seeing, I'd add the 14th C Main College of the University, where Copernicus studied, the subterranean museum in the market square, archeological museum (fits in with the surroundings, many of which romanesque) and the inside of the castle hill. I mean Tripadvisor or the like will do the thinking for you, but outside of the old centre there is this nice walking trail to the memorial mounds of Kosciuszko and Pilsudski, with their nice panoramas and a zoo, the Skałki Twardowskiego park with some jurassic formations and a clean lake, both just a few tram stops from the castle. For more trekking or just atmospheric walking, choose from all these valleys (google 'dolinki podkrakowskie') to the N and NW of the city, the Niepołomice castle to the E with its occasional mediaeval music and dance events, the Tyniec abbey's nice views and a kayaking port to the SW, with Wieliczka salt mine and and Energylandia theme park not that fara away (SE and W respectively). If one wants a taste of Communist era construction and town planning, the centre of Nowa Huta (the Eastern district) will give you a clue. Plus Catholics will have soo many pilgrimage sites.
You didn't go to Podgorze, the really new hipster place in Krakow. Also, no Nowa Huta? One cannot come to Krakow and not see NH. Canadian living in NH for 14 years.
Glad you got your.. together and the cathedral was beautiful along with the beautiful square. The food and bagels, donuts look awesome. I wouldn't go hungry visiting there. Thanks for views of the city. 👍
I've been waiting for you to show off Kraków! Im planning to go to college in either Kraków or Warszawa but I can't decide yet, both cities have a charm to them
Here in US those bagel like things are called baileys. I do not like the click bait that you were attacked there. That offends me because I am 100% Polish. Visit Zakopane!
O my God Kaja, who recommended in your hotel horrible Morskie oko I think recognize this place ! Górale call it haluszki - heavy , not makaron not kopytka but called in Kraków .. kluski.
Poland is one of the safest countries in Europe. Do you hear on TV someone shoot someone, cut someone up in the street, or blow themselves up? Check the statistics. Poland is one of the security leaders in the EU and not only.

By the way, the title of this video is misleading. At least, in my opinion.
I’ve been to Krakow last December. First time I’ve been there in July 2015. I am in love with Krakow 💕
it really is a beautiful city! :)

Do you recommend any towns nearby that are good for families?
@@rreads6408 I believe you could try Niepołomice, Dobczyce and Myślenice
@@LOKa-bg6qn Thank you for responding, I will!
Great video Kaja - one of the great cities of Europe really.
You were attacked?
Oh, some pigeons flew past you.
Thanks for making me think my home city was dangerous.
Hi kaja
Krakow is definitely one of Poland’s best places 👍
👌👌👌
Thinking about buying your book.
👍🇬🇧👌
Awesome! Thank you!
And these beautiful Polish chants in the restaurant at dinner... 🥰
Kaja, Your videos are LIFE! Happy Travels x
Thank you so much!!

Mariacki church is beautiful but its not a cathedral but a basilica .
Kraków has only One cathedral where the kings are buried, It's in Wawel castle.
Interesting thanks for the information.
Beautiful place 👍🌺
Dang I’m excited for the next vlog!🤩💕
🙏🏼☺️
Beautiful Poland. Beautiful video 📸.
Greetings from India ❤️
....

im going there this july if everything works out c: liked ur video a lot thanks for sharing ur experiences
Krakow has some of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!!!
nothing like krakow,cant get enough.
The city you'll now visit, is it Rzeszów? It's very underrated and often overlooked by travellers.
I am a resident of Krakow and I recommend Krakow : D
Hey kaja it's been a while since you're last video, good to see
good to see you too! :)

Jprd, ale click bait z tym tytułem... Juz są pierwsze komentarze że Polska jest niebezpieczna... Serio?
When you say the weather is bad in Poland, as in rainy, or like we have in the US with tornadoes?
rainy ;)
I love mostly warsaw and poznan but all poland is very beautiful ❤️
There are certain areas where you shouldn’t go in krakow like Nowa Huta.
Question:I want to travel in poland but does they have cybersecurity jobs ?
No, Poland is a neanderthal country with no wifi. Why wouldn't Poland have cybersecurity jobs?
@@DytoxPrime pathetic comment

yes they are quite different, but both really nice cities! :)

People are thinking smaller cities are always safer but that’s not true, Warsaw is safer.
Also for my guess it'll be Katowice, Łódż, or Pożnan
not a bad guess ;)

it was not recommended to me, but I heard about it and wanted to check it out myself :)

@@Panfacet Very true, I was offended by the click bait!
In my opinion Gdansk is the best Polish city but Toruń too.
I really want to see Toruń too! :)
Kaja, You also must see Torun. Torun has a nice old town area. Torun is also on the Vistula/Wisla river.@@KajaKubicka
