  • Sedans, like the Audi A3, are always a better choice than crossovers if you're looking for maximum fuel economy. Even with all-wheel drive, this 2.0T A3 did quite well!

    40mpg on regular octane with quattro AWD and 200hp? Not bad at all.

    Great to see Charlie. Very surprised to such a great highway number like that plus it will run fine on regular.

    I had this as a loaner today and was quiet surprised. Comfy small fun city car.

    I have the FWD version and it does great on the highway. I drove from Delaware to Central NY which is about 300 miles. 80% on the highway. Filled up before I left and I only used just over a quarter tank.

      @@jonj77 I live in a pretty rural town and my commute to work is only a mile. So most of my driving is "highway" if I want to actually go anywhere. If all I do is drive to and from work and around town on a single tank I average around 27 mpg. I did take a trip out to Wisconsin in July and made it 535 miles to Elkhart Indiana on a single tank. At that point my range said 20 miles left.

      That’s great on freeway! I live in LA, all I do is slow speed stop/start. I feel like I’d probably end up w/ low 20s in city.

    I just averaged 35.5 mpg with my 2017 2.0t Quattro going down US 13 from Philly to VA Beach. The highway has multiple stop lights and I averaged about 75 mph. Almost 5 mpg improvement is impressive, but is the power cut worth it?

    Hey there, I have a 2017 A3 and was wondering, in order to get the best gas mileage, what are some things I should check in order to get the absolute best?
    Air filter? Etc etc, please let me know thank you

    I just test drove an A3 FWD version and was very impressed . I am considering a 23 A3 FWD with a 18in wheel sport suspension pkg. 38mpg hwy, regular fuel, and is quicker than the numbers reflect ( 201hp/221 torque)....Why? because it also has a new mild hybrid 48 volt battery system which contributes to the acceleration/power. ( this adds 12hp and 37 lb ft of torque upon acceleration for short bursts). I am looking for a more practical replacement for my 2018 Audi TT Quattro.... I am now retired and in NC and don't feel the need for Quattro. I am also considering a 23 new MK8 VW GTI.....

      Pretty weird question.... but no, the A3 engine is significantly less powerful than both of those.

      Not in the A3 ..but in the Audi S3 the 2.0 engine has 306hp/295tq from the factory..0-60 in about 4.5 sec.. $45k-52k

    Can you put Regular (87 octane) Gasoline or it needs to be Premium?

    • @ahmedarab3280
      @ahmedarab3280 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can put 87 octane they say it’s better if you put 91 for performance but its the same. It states that on the fuel cap

      If it's a 15-min drive every time the mpg wouldn't look good either
