People buy FWD Audis so they can be part of the team ;) Or more accurately, because they live in warm climates and care more for the tech than the actual motoring.
@@CarsandCorey the maintenance costs of repairing a FWD car vs an AWD is pretty significant. 2k for AWD then down the road the maintenance costs. People like to think about how far their dollar goes. Im glad they offer FWD. Save the 2k and you can come out the factory with nice 18in package for 800 bucks. Or just pocket the savings to mod your car however you want in the future.
That 1 way road is scary. I'm wondering what Audi model has front collision avoidence. I believe it starts with A4 and above so as much as I love the A3 look I'm out.
Echo your sentiments re quattro vs FWD versions - similarly I wonder why Audi A3 exists solely as a sedan when the A4 prices become cost competitive the moment you start adding desirable options to the A3.
I test drove one last night. It is very quiet inside considering the price point and nice. It’s definitely not as quiet as an A4 or larger sedan in their lineup but definitely more quiet than the other cars in that size class.
Having driven a FWD a3 in snow, its absolutely all you need with winter tires

How did you get the navigation on the cockpit display?
That comes standard if you get navigation, you can turn that off

a4 uses premium gas vs regular gas for the a3
