Lego Super Mario quick fix sensor

- My son's Lego Mario doesn't recognize the blocks. I found a new trick for the fix.
Update:
The LEGO customer service has responded and they are sending a new LEGO Mario. :)
This is a very nice thing from them, I am satisfied with the attitude of the lego company.
He will arrive in the mail soon.

Thanks so much! My son was about to have a meltdown because his Mario stopped working. Lol. Your video made it an easy fix and just a few seconds. 😊 We weren’t brave enough to try the water though. I breathed onto it as if I were cleaning glasses and then wiped it off and it worked like a charm.

I’ve tried it many times without bomb code, there was no result. After I’ve tried it with bomb code, Mario started to read codes! Thank you, it’s some kind of magic.
Bomb code?
Our Mario reads codes except bob-omb and the clown car :(
Mine isn't working
It worked here, but it seem to work as long as the sensor is a little wet. Once it's dry it stops working again. Thanks for the help anyway. If someone has another solution for a definite fix I would appreciate.

also a q-tip works pretty swell, i've just discovered.
I try to clean it with iso propanol and it did work for a brief moment, then I try to blow some moisture on it and use cotton but only helped for a moment so I try water tomorrow, factory reset and see what it does. Shame that lego not doing anything to fix that as I bet it got something with software.

Water didn’t work for mine. Used a qtip and alcohol and let it dry for five minutes then it worked again.

What is it that you put on the sensor? Water or alcohol?
Only work with water, distilled water.

I am so frustrated. I keep getting the phone Bluetooth connection. Or I can not get the light to show on sensor
Finally got the Bluetooth reset by pressing both back buttons. Took an age got it to happen. Mario blinked. Seems to have fixed it
Qtip and rubbing alcohol might do the trick
