This video is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to embark on their own shed-building project, with the end result being a testament to what can be achieved with dedication and guidance.
No matter how many videos I watch of these DIY's. I'll never end up doing them ever 😂
Watching your timelapse alone is inspiring. I really hate the idea of a prebuilt shed, mostly because of how limiting it is. Saving this video and considering giving it a try to build my own
Honestly perhaps the most useful DYI video on youtube. Thank you Andrew!!!!!!

I see, it's like beautiful marble stone look. Good work; looks 🤩great!
Keep up the good work! Hope to one day build a shed like this, Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful shared that you built to get a great job. It looks fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy
Oh my God, I caught a mistake that you fixed. Great, job. The drip edge was installed 1st then the phelp paper.
I am not a profession I'm just a guy looking for answers because I'm building a shed and I almost made that mistake. The difference is. You caught your mistake. I will put the shingles then see the mistake. Lol. OUCH!!! YOU did AMAZING even with that hiccups. Love it and u got my full support.
This video series and e-book is just what I need.
Excellent video! I appreciate the preview to see if it's something I really want to dig into.
I am looking to enclose an octagonal gazebo which was already built, thanks for this detailed explanation of everything! Was thinking of using the LP Smart side paneling.
You did an excellent job!! I would hire you any day!! Lol I know I am suppose to be learning how to do it myself and I really have, which is great. I would like to make this style of building but make it about twice as big to use as a work shop.
Thank you so much for all of the work and your excellent explanations.
Beautiful, I’m going to take pointers on this video. I’m trying to build my she shade.
Great video. I’m sure the video recording and editing took a lot of time as well. Thanks for the quality content. 🔥
Very Cool However I would use soffits or screens for airflow. thinking warm air escaping etc. It came out very nice. Bravo.
Appreciate it! And I agree…definitely would want to think about air flow if I was doing this again. Especially under the base frame. Thanks for watching!
Nice work.but one major problem I can clearly see is that you put the drip edge on top of the shingles.facia boards will be rot in a year or so.just advice no judgement.but other than that it's some pretty damn good work bro.💪💪
Hi! I think you might be referring to the ridge flashing - which did go on top of the shingles. All the other drip edge went below!
Good morning! Beautiful work and I’m sure it’s been asked before, what is the soft wear you used to creat the rendering of your frame work?
If you install one or two braces (so that they can pivot around a nail) the wall cannot fall backwards when you lift it. They act as a brake moving with the wall making it much safer! (At around time 48:00 in this video). I've done many walls by myself this way.
That’s a good tip! There are definitely better ways to do it than what I showed - but we got it done!
This helped me build my own smaller version. Fantastic. I was wondering, has your Fascia warped at all from painting it black? I have seen a bunch of material saying that low LRV (light absorbent) paint could warp the PVC over time. As I am interested in doing the same, I would be curious how yours has held up.
I got the plan and thank you for it. I plan to build a shed 11x18 (little less than 200) and my city said I have to give them plan when I want to apply for the permit. Do you know of any online software (free) that can generate the plan...? thank you for the info
Due to backyard space restraints, I’m looking to build a 12x8 shed just like this. Do you have different dimension settings in your course or is it only for 10x10 sheds?
Hi Dominic! The course if for a10'x10' shed specifically, but you can use it as a basis for any other size. I would start with the TH-cam Videos to see if that gives you enough info to build it!
Nice work! For the plywood that is exposed that you cut in for the top windows, did you poly or treat somehow? Also, were did you source the garage door? What thickness of plexi glass did you used. Was it plexi or plexi-acrylic? I have a 16x20 slab I poured a few months ago and looking to get started on the build.
Hi! I did not treat the plywood cuts - but that wouldn't hurt! I got the door from Steeldoordepot.com. I used a TOO THIN thickness for the acrylic panels - I would go with something 0.25" thick. Thanks for watching!
"DIY How to Build a SHED from Start to Finish (FREE Framing Plans!)" would be a practical and highly useful video for viewers interested in taking on a backyard project. This video would guide viewers through the entire process of building a shed, from laying the foundation to the final touches, with an emphasis on providing clear, step-by-step instructions.
Dmaxryno built a very similar design on his channel. Really dig this design!
rolls royce of sheds
How thick was the existing concrete slab, and did it have any footings? What was the cost of the project? Thanks
Hi! I am actually unsure of the slab thickness. Total cost was around $4,500 for materials!
Can you explain the difference between your course and the free pdf link you posted?
Hi! Course is just a BIT more detailed and has the materials list, cut lists, etc.
I love all American makeovers, it seems so easy. In Brazil, it's not hahaha
Amazing! What software are you using, before going to construction?
Love this! Can we see an update please?
Great video, for the 2x4s do you need to wedge them in between the posts or can you screw on the posts?
Excellent job.
Question. How much building experience do you have before building this?
How much were the materials?
Hi! I had a bit of DIY experience from renovating my house. Total cost was around 5k but I have a cost breakdown video on my channel as well!
Building this now i didn’t have a concrete slab and the quarry is 10 min down the road so im doing a Slag pad also im doing 12’x12’, cant afford that roll up so more than likely i will be building my doors best of luck to all
Hey Andrew, I am building my first shed and due to the subflooring being tongue and groove, the sheets do not go all the way to the outside edge of my (double) rim joists. What do you recommend? As I see it I have (3) options. 1- move my walls in so the subfloor edge is fully under the base board, or 2- build my wall where I intended it, causing the wall to have a slight gap under where the subfloor doesnt go out all the way, or 3- add a strip of board to the outside edge of the subfloor so the wall can sit fully on top of wood.
Hi Michael - if I was you and the gap was minimal (1/2), I would just go for it. If it’s larger, I would probably just rip a small strip as you propose in option 3. Good luck!
Nice video! Question, what nails did you use for the roofing? Do they stick out in the inside, meaning you can see the nails in the inside? I have 1/2 osb on my on my roof.
Thanks! I used 1.5” roofing nails and they did stick through the roof decking on the inside
Why doesn't everyone build roofs like this on sheds? I'm going to build one, and so many videos show all these elaborate truss builds on the two-sided roofs . Is there an advantage to two sided sloped roof?
could you please share name of the software which you used to make design/plan etc...
You do realize I’m not actually gonna build a shed right? I just want to watch you build one 😂
Why not attach the fascias when assembling the roof on the ground? I haven't done it myself, it just seems easier doing it on the ground and lifting the whole roof, incl the fascias, and attaching it in one piece.
How is the LVP flooring holding up on the exterior of the shed?
That’s great. I am building a shed similar to yours and want to install the LVP. I live in Chicagoland so the weather is pretty tough. Thanks for the great videos!!
Hello Renovision DIY
Definitely some serious inspiration there haha. Jeff is the man!
For all that work you could've insulated it and ran a small mini-split to condition the space. Someone else wanting to build this sure could.
Do you think the insulation would really be worth it if one is not spending a lot of time in it during high/low temps?
@@potatoes1234 not if they're not spending a lot of time in it. But if they use it for like a side business workshop then yes, very worth it
How much did it cost and how many hours
Cost breakdown is here!
th-cam.com/video/qUXTZ3ZA4Vw/w-d-xo.html
It took me a few weekends since I was filming, etc.
Someone probably already asked, but why no insulation?
Admire the work...but as a side note, even though they're Camo I can still see the Crocks!! What are those!!!
I subscribe nice masterpiece
I'm confused about what you did to fill the triangle gaps at the tops of the side walls. Is that just open, only covered with plywood, with no framing at the tops of the angled side walls? I've seen other people actually frame that with 2x4s. You skipped past that in your video and now I'm at 1:17 and it's got sheathing hiding it without showing how you got there.
Are your windows already warped??
They are acrylic panels so they do look a little “fun-house” like
👍👍👍👍
Sidewall
Wait a sec, i got distracted, how do i build my floor again?
Nice shed, but since ur a DIY'er, you should have busted up the concrete pad and pour a new one in the back corner of the yard. Kinda wasted space in the middle of the yard.
I agree with you. Lesson Learned, unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Totally agree also. In California we have to have at least a 36 inch clearance between a fence or wall. Anywho it’s an amazing shed. I would love to have one. I wonder if it can be built under 5k for something similar..

Hi
Too much lumber for one tiny shed. Looks good but not functional as far as using for storage. Over kill is not always good when it's not functionjng to serve a purpose
The first
All that work and no insulation or venting.
insulation is so that whatever ur building could contain heat and stay warm, this is just a shed, nobody’s gonna live in it
Crown up? And why?
Crown up helps prevents sagging and keeps everything uniform
hello
I think you overdid it on the framing aspect. I know that front wall was the heaviest. Too many 2x4s
Haha probably - but better to be over built than under built imo
You could have put that shed as free on marketplace and it probably would have been gone in less than a week.
You talk about using screws over nails, but you drove the screws in so deep that you sunk the heads. That actually detracts from the strength of the screw. Screw heads should not be buried into the wood. Nails would be fine for this application, you aren't gaining any benefit by using screws.
If you're in Florida or any other hurricane/tornado area please do not build this that roof is awesome but a hazard in those types of areas
Well it's different. Too different. It looks out of place like a whole different Tiny-House.
Why the overkill? That would be a very expensive shed. It's not a piano! Rookie! Now, your old lady can fill it with yardsale junk.! Ha ha!
To much talking
If you've been contemplating building a shed but felt overwhelmed, this video is a game-changer. The host takes you through the entire process, making it easy to understand, even for beginners. The free framing plans they provide are like the secret sauce that makes the whole DIY shed project stress-free and successful.
I appreciate you saying this! Thanks for watching and for the support!
