And non religious, eclectic unschooler. Between learning science by caring for and milking goats then making cheese 2 different ways,building computers and learning Mandarin, karate and HAM radio, sky warn, first aid and basic electrical theory... very little my kids learned could be found in TX school books.

Rabies vaccine side effects killed our sweet Australian shepherd. Cyclic seizures. Raw, no grain diet reduced her seizures to 3 episodes in her last year and a half of life (from bi-monthly) but that last set did her in.

Still, I know this probably won't convince most people who lost someone to a vaccine, but the alternative is orders of magnitude more losing loved ones to what it prevent.

Laughing at homschooled kids makes me think, they don't have a clue about public schools..
We like it that way. That's the point.
You'd be surprised how many homeschooled kids actually have more of a clue than they'd like.
Second generation homeschool family. Graduated from homeschool with a Minnesota state diploma in '97. Was pulled out just before MEA weekend at 9 years old. Couldn't PAY me to send my children to public school ANYWHERE.
Thankfully we each get to make that decision for ourselves.
