    Every engine oil change should include a check of specification for the quantity of oil to be replaced, oil filter part number and torque specification of the oil drain plug.

    Oil Filter Kawasaki 49065-2071
    Oil used in video SAE 10W-40
    Oil Capacity 1.2 L (1.3 qt.) [when oil filter is removed]
    Oil drain plug: 14mm socket used
    Oil drain plug torque: 32Nm (24 lb ft used in this video)

    I'm a newbie to this stuff, I couldn't find the drain valve. Thanks for being so clear with everything.

    My dipstick rusted and broke off up inside the dipstick tube. Now I have to take the clutch and belt assembly off to replace the tube. Dipstick rusts pretty quickly, the first one rusted within a year, second one about the same.

      odd i have a 97 with original dipstick no leaks no rust in central indiana...... you might have environmental issues contributing to that might try some rust preventatives like fluid film or good paint like POR15.
