Fyi if you're not on speed density tuning with an atmospheric bov it can throw off at ratios since the maf is calculating for it. May get pops but less power eventually.
For erryone here saying u need a TUNE u dont. I asked hks them selfs n they said with or with out the resurculating kit u do not need a TUNE it is safe to run like that.
I put it on my 19' STI, It's a HKS Blow off valve. The one I put on my car is a HKS Super SQV4 Blow off Valve. There's other kinds of blow off valves but the sound the HKS makes is always satisfying to hear while driving around town.
@@JDiidi4PF i took it off, you can't tune for a blowoff valve. If you run a blowoff valve you will run rich. Stay with the stock bypass valve or a aftermarket bypass valve.
Can anyone give me some advice? I have the STI 2020, I bought this same blowoff from the video but with the recirculating kit. I'll do a professional tune since I also installed the Cobb redline intake. So, the one who will make the tune tells me that you can't put the blowoff in atmospheric mode because the gasoline mixture will become very rich. I bought this blowoff because I love the sound it makes and now I won't be able to hear it apparently.
Let me know if you found out the reason, but is the tuner doing a speed density tune? Cause you can certainly use in atmosphere mode with the right tune.
@@jfGarage4k The air going into the BOV is already filtered because it's the air from your engine air filter, compressed by the turbo going into your intake manifold. I don't think you will get carbon deposit or gasoline from your intake manifold inside your BOV. Can you see deposits on the BOV filter ? I'm interested.
Do i need to tune the engine for this my friend i need more information. I have 2011 sti and i want more sound from turbo but for bow i don't want to tune the engine its on plan but not for now 😀
Dont need to tune, its fine to cruse around drive around But if you dont get it to tune the Air fuel ratio gonna run rich and loss boost pressure on every shift (run slow)
Your daughter revving it is adorable
Awesome thanks for the comments. I show this type of comments to my daughter she really injoy reading this Awesome feedback

Very very nice sound! High quality and powerful Boxer Sound.

You need a tune for tire pressure adjustments bro..
You need a tune now
I miss my 04 STi. Had a HKS BOV too. You need to replace your stock horns with some Hellas next.
Ya i got this on my list ready to make some video. What should i do next ?
You need a tune with that.
Whats to blow off valve called?
Its called Bypass Valve

Whats the filter for?
For fine dust or dirt stopping going into the BOV.

blocks debris from intake manifold entering the BOV internals
Should block off that recirculation line…
That investment is about to ruin your day without a speed density tune.
The only negative thing it has is it makes your can run rich. In the super long run it COULD be harmful but it's better to run rich than lean.

Put a gasket on
😂😂😂
Geez, dude almost runs over his daughter. I wonder if he's ever heard of a car COVER??
Ya i heard about it. where do you find & get that?
if your not on speed density tuning pleassseeeee dont listen to this advice
Don't follow this guy! Wow! No gasket, just install it anyway.
The engine fine No Boost leak its not gonna hurt. It was a Sunday afternoon the dealer close, i pick up a gasket the following day.
