Now in the year 2019 HGTV did a whole renovation of the Brady house, With the surviving cast members. And every one of them is still talking about the Brady Bunch Show show and cashing in on it in 2019 +.
Cheat, stealing, backbiter & robber Barron; All those Actors were rooked for a fortune, a lifetime of royalties'. I really shouldn't be surprised at his Avarice given his position. I just wonder if they ever saw a fraction of the residuals though any successful legal action or if those contracts stood the test of time. (ironclad). Insufferable dinkweed, there was enough money to spread around.
It was wrong for the Swartzes to cash in on the Brady Bunch and Brady spin-offs w/o paying them residuals. The Brady actors and their characters gave millions of people happiness and hope. They deserved so much better.
My question IS, how much are these former Brady kids getting in royalties for all of the reruns shown since 1974? They said their deals with Paramount sucked? If that IS true, just think about the billions they are missing from 1974 to present. Even with a small allowance from Paramount, they should sue like the Happy Days cast did! But in true Brady fashion, they remain humble and miss billions!!!!!
There was a very short lived series called Day By Day. In one episode the main character, a teenaged boy named Ross is upset at his parents and dreams of being a Brady. He imagines Mike and Carol Brady would be more sympathetic to him. He falls asleep during a Brady Bunch marathon only to "awaken" in a dreamland/nightmare where the Brady's forever repeat the same saccharin sweet one liners add nauseam. For this one episode of an unknown sitcom, at least half of the original cast appeared in their old roles. It was very funny but most funny of all, this same actor was hired later on to play Greg in the really groovy Brady Bunch spoof movies. I was glad to see he did eventually really get his wish!
Just finished reading Maureen's (published 2009) book (Here's the Story) which led me to TH-cam and this (awesome) documentary. Thanks so much your salvaging of that tape!!
If you haven't seen it, you should try to find the episode of Day By Day where Ross dreams of joining the Brady Bunch. They got about half the original Brady Bunch cast to reprise their roles for this funny dream sequence. I had seen that years before the Brady Bunch movie so when I realized that was Ross playing Greg, I was like ok... well I guess dreams really do come true.
Robert Reed hated the character of Mike Brady, but millions of people loved the Mike character and would've love having him for a father themselves. That is what he will be remembered for. Yes, he was a respected shakespearean actor. The Swartzes should've shown him more respect.
I heard Eve Plum (Jan) tell a story about dating in her 20s. Aledgely she dated a young man near her age and after dating for awhile they ended up in bed together. After making love the guy said something like, I just made love to Jan Brady! If the story is true it shows how much the show had on people.
Maybe Williams wanted to be as famous as David Cassidy. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well for Cassidy and he quit for a while before making a comeback.
SEFYH You mean that Eve Plumb wants to be known for other things besides a TV sitcom that was cancelled FORTY years ago? Oh the horror! I don't blame her at all.
The Brady Bunch was way ahead of it time. It showed us how a blended family can work 30-40 years before blending of different families became part of today's culture
They over analyze why people still like this show. As someone who is about Bobby's age, I like to watch it because of Jan and Marcia and that it reminds me of being a teenager. On the Brady spoof version, I was wondering when Mike Brady was going to ask his kids for their TPA reports.
My daughter's friend auditioned for the part of Cindy Brady in the new Brady Bunch Movie in the 90s. Those doing the auditions told her that she looked perfect for the part..but that her voice was too deep, too raspy and too annoying for the part of Cindy Brady. Lol. You should see her now!! She goes by the name Katrina Chiovon..and you can find her on TH-cam. Her hair is naturally blond..but she dyes it black. And..she still has that deep, raspy voice..that men today seem to find sexy. Check her out!! She's a far cry from Cindy Brady now!! Lol.
Jane Doe, he does have a singing career. Not a radio or recording star, but in theater and in casinos. Not an A list career, but making good money doing what he wants.
He makes a living. He doesn’t have to put up with a lot of the grief that those of us in offices and buildings working for the man do. That’s enough. He did it. That’s a career
The girls, yes. The guys, not so much. Mike Lookinland was a cute kid and teen and Christopher Knight was really attractive. Neither is much to look at now and men in the 50's and 60's can be really nice looking. Barry Williams just always looks like Barry Williams, just older.
Agreed - I couldn't get all the way through that one. Except for Star Wars, I don't see the need for many trilogies, like Harold and Kumar's direct to video third movie. The first two will be fine, thank you.
I cant sympathize with the actors who want to "forget" the Brady Bunch. I am sorry, most if not all of you would be nobodies without out this avenue that you all have said was based on looks. There are thousands of actors who WISH they could become ICONS
Schwartz did make it a hit, however, I wonder if it would have been better had the other producers jumped on the idea with that article he read. There wouldn't have had so much tension, and yes it was all about him!
It seems to me the children of the Brady Bunch want to put their characters in their past except when they need the money their recognition brings them. I know a factory who is hiring for $10.00 an hour if they are interested but it is back breaking work and they will have to cut coupons and go to dollar movies
I had to check the time on this comment because I was wondering "dollar movies still exist? They can't be..." I'd love it if they did, it beats the hell out of standing in line waiting for the rental disc to come in. Then it's flat Pepsi and sticky floors and torn seats. No sarcasm at all, it was a great time.
In Hollywood there's much you learn and quick straight out of the gate. If we were in a sub level society thered still be the same demand for entertainment. And what goes with that is there too
I think that's just he is a nice enough but it's just the coalescions that come with professionalisms, and many things they've gotta consider, adhere to & lines the public need to keep in mind too
I didnt know people from other countries watched it. And they seem too young to have grown up with it when it was on. Then again, was it ever said when this was made?
Barry Williams is remarkably level headed. So is Ann B. Davis, Florence Henderson. Seems like they ALL fared well which is impressive considering child actors end dead, addicts, homeless. Good for them.
"I think this show represents something that everyone longs for in life....whether you're straight or gay." Why the HELL did she feel she needed to say that? Why didn't she just come out and say that she supports people like Robert Reed? The Brady Bunch did NOTHING to represent gay, or any other segmented population. Weird. I'm not gay, but her statement, at least to me, seemed really weird.
It would have been scandalous for the tv Cindy to say something like that, but Susan Olsen would have given her left pigtail to be able to say that on the air.
I was the right age to see the original three years, I remember those Friday nights well. The last two, I think I missed. Funny that it is an English program here. Were they shown over seas the same season they were broadcast here? S.S. and his son are pure parasites. Not sharing in the residuals with all the actors that made them known. Not giving a second thought to the camera operators, set crew, everyone that put up with his BS, etc etc.
I don't think I would like Eve Plumb in person...she doesnt seem that friendly, and she only speaks of the monetary aspect of the brady bunch - "oh they offered more money," and "they kept increasing the pay," it's very off-putting.
Best Brady Bunch and the movie they all look like they are a high or stone or something and I have that attitude I think about it or better yet look at the movie
Christoper Knight may not have made a lot of money from The Brady Bunch but he's worth $15 million from all his business ventures. Didn't Susan have some business with tennis shoes? I remember reading about her in US magazine, but I don't remember the whole article. It was in the 80"s. Robert Reed kept complaining about the show and the stupid scripts but hey it's a paying job for 5 years. I mean he didn't know it would on 5 years but it's a paying acting job which are hard to get. And couldn't he read the script before hand and know it was going to be a bit corny if not a lot. I mean come on it's not Shakespear.I mean you're on the show and you know for some reason it's not perfect as no job is but just do the job and don't complain. You already singed up for the roll.
Robert Reed was a good looking man, but he was very ill toward the end. The Brady girls were still attractive when this documentary was made. Still, the Brady's got me though my childhood.
THe Brady Bunch Movie was hysterical. I even liked the sequel - VERY much.
It's the excellence that made this show. It is quality from the casting, writing, soundtrack. It captivates you.
I love the Brady Bunch! Thank you for posting.
Now in the year 2019 HGTV did a whole renovation of the Brady house, With the surviving cast members. And every one of them is still talking about the Brady Bunch Show show and cashing in on it in 2019 +.
It was so cool to watch.
Anyone else find Lloyd Schwartz extremely condescending/irritating?
Cheat, stealing, backbiter & robber Barron; All those Actors were rooked for a fortune, a lifetime of royalties'. I really shouldn't be surprised at his Avarice given his position. I just wonder if they ever saw a fraction of the residuals though any successful legal action or if those contracts stood the test of time. (ironclad). Insufferable dinkweed, there was enough money to spread around.
Abram Conner do you have a recording of Florence Henderson singing?
Yes I thought he was a little annoying. Plus, Sherwood never let Gilligan beat the shit out of the Skipper, dork Ginger or Mary Ann either.
It was wrong for the Swartzes to cash in on the Brady Bunch and Brady spin-offs w/o paying them residuals. The Brady actors and their characters gave millions of people happiness and hope. They deserved so much better.
Considering how untalented he is, yes , he is very condescending.
Drink Driving? WTH! It's called DRUNK DRIVING!! OMG!
If robert reed were still alive today, he would have a star too, right next to florences!
They haven't seen a dime if I recall. They basically make money on their names.
@princessjerseseygirl04
I agree. Reed is classic.
The Brady Bunch, much like other bits of Americana, is most famous in its afterglow.
Watch for Betty Thomas at 8:38 ! (Lucy Bates from Hill Street Blues - if you grew up with the Brady Bunch, you probably watched HSB, too.)
Just finished reading Maureen's (published 2009) book (Here's the Story) which led me to TH-cam and this (awesome) documentary. Thanks so much your salvaging of that tape!!
It wasn't until I watched an episode of Day By Day on TH-cam that Greg Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie was the kid who played Ross Harper.
@MichaelHansenFUN she is Australian and this was on our free to air channel: channel 10
Robert Reed was a very respective actor
"Respective" of what??
I think Yollie meant to say "respected."
I don't know about Yollie, in part five he said "Reed will always be remembered but not forgotten".
Robert Reed hated the character of Mike Brady, but millions of people loved the Mike character and would've love having him for a father themselves. That is what he will be remembered for. Yes, he was a respected shakespearean actor. The Swartzes should've shown him more respect.
Thanks For Uploading This Video tapesalvage Have A NICE Evening Or Day! :).......................
schwartz seemed incredibly sharp
"Hey Jan, you should knock over a 7-11"
Lmao
Now I want to watch Brady Bunch episodes.
Peter looks an awful lot like Seth Macfarland
GO, Mrs Dittmeyer, GO!!! (LOL)
I heard Eve Plum (Jan) tell a story about dating in her 20s. Aledgely she dated a young man near her age and after dating for awhile they ended up in bed together. After making love the guy said something like, I just made love to Jan Brady! If the story is true it shows how much the show had on people.
That was SUPER !! Thanks for posting !!! Have a nice day ! = )
3:06 Wow. How could Robert Reed ever had a problem with this kind of genius?
I bet Barry thought he was going to be the next Elvis
I think he thought he was going to be the next Englebert Humperdink.
+James Trout The Brady Bunch WILL always be on TV though! Thanks to Me TV
That's how those people in Hollywood are. They will remember you from an old sit com many years ago and not want to give a chance to do other things.
3:09 The correct answer is Full House.
The Brady Bunch was way ahead of it time. It showed us how a blended family can work 30-40 years before blending of different families became part of today's culture
Shannon Hunt these days blended families are just porn plots
barry Williams looks like he wears a hair peice
They over analyze why people still like this show. As someone who is about Bobby's age, I like to watch it because of Jan and Marcia and that it reminds me of being a teenager.
On the Brady spoof version, I was wondering when Mike Brady was going to ask his kids for their TPA reports.
WHy was the animated series skipped?
My daughter's friend auditioned for the part of Cindy Brady in the new Brady Bunch Movie in the 90s. Those doing the auditions told her that she looked perfect for the part..but that her voice was too deep, too raspy and too annoying for the part of Cindy Brady. Lol. You should see her now!! Re Barry Williams: "A singing CAREER"? Um, ok.
Don't you mean a SINGING career...?
Jane Doe, he does have a singing career. Not a radio or recording star, but in theater and in casinos. Not an A list career, but making good money doing what he wants.
He makes a living. He doesn’t have to put up with a lot of the grief that those of us in offices and buildings working for the man do.
That’s enough. He did it.
That’s a career
Barry Williams was a pretty good singer and dancer. I'd go see him if he were performing in my area.
The cast, for the most part, got better looking with age.
The girls, yes. The guys, not so much. Mike Lookinland was a cute kid and teen and Christopher Knight was really attractive. Neither is much to look at now and men in the 50's and 60's can be really nice looking. Barry Williams just always looks like Barry Williams, just older.
If you see Mike Lookinland today, he has lost some of his hair.
Susan Olsen used to be pretty, but she had plastic surgery and looks like an old hag.
The middle kids fared the best, I think. Chris Knight and Eve Plumb both look wonderful, in my opinion
Never knew people from other countries saw the show.
Wow. Nice, once again. "They love me. I hate to put it that way". On the first part of that I was like "Whaaa?"
RIP Sherwood Schwartz! 1916-2011
If Susan Olsen had said that in the 70's the show would have been pulled. lol
I disagree, a very brady sequel was slightly better than the first movie. The third one where they go to the white house though was terrible.
Agreed - I couldn't get all the way through that one. Except for Star Wars, I don't see the need for many trilogies, like Harold and Kumar's direct to video third movie. The first two will be fine, thank you.
Where's the continuation? Can't find it!
Oh, NO mention of Cousin Oliver (Robbie Rist) whatsoever.
THAT is what you call pretending someone doesn't exist!!!!!
this comment was made four years ago, BUT it was because he's a jinx haha (get it)
Cousin Oliver did appear briefly at the end of A Very Brady Sequel. Not Robbie Rist but another kid played him.
Susan does still lisp a little bit.
I was referring to the tension between Schwartz and Reid.
3:55 where is that from with her in that cat outfit? what show?
i didnt even know they made a third one? the first two were great
10:38--Haha, he does look like Ann B. Davis...
If he had dressed like her and did his hair the same way, it would be exact
I cant sympathize with the actors who want to "forget" the Brady Bunch. I am sorry, most if not all of you would be nobodies without out this avenue that you all have said was based on looks. There are thousands of actors who WISH they could become ICONS
Schwartz did make it a hit, however, I wonder if it would have been better had the other producers jumped on the idea with that article he read. There wouldn't have had so much tension, and yes it was all about him!
Good show ,,,And great years 70
The Brady Bunch Movie made fun of it xD that was such a funny movie.
It seems to me the children of the Brady Bunch want to put their characters in their past except when they need the money their recognition brings them. I know a factory who is hiring for $10.00 an hour if they are interested but it is back breaking work and they will have to cut coupons and go to dollar movies

I'd love it if they did, it beats the hell out of standing in line waiting for the rental disc to come in. Then it's flat Pepsi and sticky floors and torn seats. No sarcasm at all, it was a great time.
Why did they not do anything on the cartoon?
No Marcia is better looking than Jan. And that's why eve is mad
@vikkiwaiting not it wasnt, it was awesome, funny but still paying homage to the show
I kinda thought about that as well!
In Hollywood there's much you learn and quick straight out of the gate. If we were in a sub level society thered still be the same demand for entertainment. And what goes with that is there too
I think that's just he is a nice enough but it's just the coalescions that come with professionalisms, and many things they've gotta consider, adhere to & lines the public need to keep in mind too
funny on how all these "commentators" have accents. Not America, so never really grew up like we did watching the Brady Bunch live
I didnt know people from other countries watched it. And they seem too young to have grown up with it when it was on. Then again, was it ever said when this was made?
Waiting for parts 8-50.....where are they.....🤣🤣🤣
his the same guy that wrote gilligans island boy did that guy age
He's Jewish and they don't age very well.
depends on the sun
I think that's Peter Thiel at 5:30
Barry Williams is remarkably level headed. So is Ann B. Davis, Florence Henderson. Seems like they ALL fared well which is impressive considering child actors end dead, addicts, homeless. Good for them.
Ann B Davis and Florence Henderson are remarkable actresses and brought a lot to their Brady roles. May both RIP!
That movie was a joke should have never been made!!!!!!!!!!
It's drunk driving, not drink driving.
Any proof available?
I like the original, these were all fake brady bunch
I too love the original Brady cast, though Geri Reischl is friendly and still very attractive. She's a terrific singer and actress as well.
Yous sure take alot of breaks
olsen still speaks with a lysis
NowImDancing 30 that's what I was thinking, she still has the lisp!
I can't believe that Susan Olsen wanted her lips to be removed that's weird
Disney girl 30 Gwilt her lisp not lips
I don't blame her. I mean it was cute when you're a little girl but it's awkward as an adult. I think she wanted to be taken seriously.
The first movie was okay but the rest were garbage
Who is the host of this documentary? She’s gorgeous!
man let them all get on with their lives.
My Brady bunch is and always will be full House
I quoted it.
May the Schwartz be with you!
Vat a voyld vat a voyld… Oy vey.
1:16 anyone else peep what Cindy said... dude is over hung and he is not in a good mood because he is taking it in the rear... lmao.
It would have been scandalous for the tv Cindy to say something like that, but Susan Olsen would have given her left pigtail to be able to say that on the air.
So right Farrell !! Susan has always rocked. Good catch Sherida, that actress's voice was so shrill I didn't catch that the first time. Too funny.
I thought the SAME thing!
The movie was funny--a great parody.

@tapesalvage yeah it was such a great film both of them!
Marcia's duaghter is very pretty
Doesn't Bob Downe, the guy who sounds like the undeniably gay Geico Lizard, sound equally feminine?
LOVED the Brady Bunch movies
best fucking movie ever
True dat.
A lisposcopy
Best Brady Bunch and the movie they all look like they are a high or stone or something and I have that attitude I think about it or better yet look at the movie
Christoper Knight may not have made a lot of money from The Brady Bunch but he's worth $15 million from all his business ventures. Didn't Susan have some business with tennis shoes? Robert Reed was a shakespearean actor. He felt the BB was beneath him and written poorly. He endured the show because he loved the kids.
That is because it never mattered if they existed.
This host is tasty!
Flo, Jan , Maureen and Susan are all very pretty girls. Robert Reed, not so much.
Robert Reed was a good looking man, but he was very ill toward the end. The Brady girls were still attractive when this documentary was made. Still, the Brady's got me though my childhood.
Drink driving
I wonder if Florence Henderson went under the 🍴.
Luz Figueroa Utensils?
I think all the Brady women went under the knife or utensils. They looked beautiful before opting for plastic surgery.
You're such a beauty and lovely voice 😍😘do u have a Instagram account ?
