First off sweeet family & helpful video!!! I was trying to figure out which rtt to install in my e250 cargo van (looks a lot like yours:). Which vantech rails do you have for your van? I have 3 solar panels in the back half and I’m honestly so confused on what to do.. think it would it be a problem to setup towards the front with the swing doors? Or will it be like a little awning?
& ….?I have to rent a forklift!? 😂
You will definitely need a forklift lol
But it’s so worth it! Loving my rig more each day. It probably wouldn’t be that big of an issue if you slide it in front of the swing door. But if you were trying to get in and out of the passenger side, there might be an issue. I was actually thinking about putting solar panels in front of mine.
Bro I totally understand what you meant when you were speaking about the delivery. When my roam vagabond was delivered it came on a semi truck that couldn’t fit on my road. So I had to arrange to meet the driver at a local Walmart to unload it from his truck to mine and then unload it by myself when I got home. All to just pick it up again and mount it to my truck
Yeah, it’s too bad there’s not a better way for the delivery to happen. It is definitely big and bulky and takes multiple people.

there is a good blog post review stating that the main difference, concept-wise, to the ikamper skycamp 2.0, is the removable flysheet. especially when packing / unpacking the flysheet each time you fold or unfold the condor XL, it requires more time than ikamper (which has a fixed flysheet). in your video, you fold the condor with the flysheet still expanded (whereas the official condor instruction vid wraps the flysheet up before folding the tent) - do you notice any difference?
No, I have never noticed any difference. I just make sure everything is talked away nicely and it works completely fine.
Hey zak. Have you had the tent deployed in any high wind situations. And if so. What was the noise level like. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
So sorry for the delayed response! Honestly, it hasn’t been too bad. The highest winds we’ve been in overnight were probably 15 mph and the breeze was amazing.

Do they make a cold weather liner for this tent? That is one thing I like about the IKamper
They don’t. I reached out to roofnest they said they are releasing a newer updated one this summer with an insulated liner

Just got mine this weekend but noticed I didn’t get the exterior led . Does that already come attached or was a separate piece
I just received mine this week and am also missing the exterior leds. I reached out to Roofnest, apparently they had to remove them due to design issues with the housing getting damaged? Personally I’m kind of bummed we didn’t get notified previously of this change. Exterior lighting would have been a great addition. Working with customer service two figure out an alternative.
I was not aware of this. Mine has the LEDs and I have not had an issue.
What do you guys do for a bathroom? I have two daughters also around that age and I anticipate this will be a question asked when I say hey you guys wanna rooftop tent camp one day?
We have two daughters as well. We have a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat attachment, and some garbage bags in case of emergencies. Otherwise we just use gas stations or a shovel and nature.🤓
how's the Condensation issue?....so the mattress is Comfy enough for 'side Sleepers'? What about locks for the tent....i didn't see any? also..the roof rails on your van ..what's the company's Name?..how heavy are they?.. i cab google later...but is Roofnest Tents available in Canada?....Safe Travels!...Cheers from Canada!

I don’t have one (just ordered!) but I believe the answer to this question, after researching them all wknd, is a firm no. The Roofnest Falcon series you can mount racks on top of!
There is a falcon series like James explained below that will do all of this! They have lots of storage options, and attachment options for that series

What is the difference between this Roofnest top tent and Tuff stuff Roof top tent, seems everything is similar
