We ended up with 5lb bags of Land O Lakes cheese cubes. They lasted for forever unopened in the fridge and a good month opened. We portioned into snackmand sandwich bags.
I am so impressed by how you pressure cook(?) the chicken you found ( rotisserie) ! You don't waste a thing and I am learning a lot from you. I truly appreciate your videos 👍🏼👍🏼🥰🌻🌻
Cotton candy grapes r amazing. Freeze them. Eat them frozen, so good! I didn’t like bell peppers till I discovered cooking them down in olive oil, garlic and a little jalapeño and eat them with eggs. Heavenly that way!
Take those strawberries and mince with a knife or pulse in a blender/ food processor. Optionally add some sugar to draw even more juices and sweeten to taste. Freeze in portion or cooking sizes. This reduces the volume tremendously. It also gives you a strawberry sauce for ice cream, pancakes and waffles, yogurt, smoothies, cornstarch pudding/flan, on top of dry and also cooked cereals, and something you can muddle in assorted alcoholic and non -alcoholic drinks.
Another amazing haul. That was a great idea for the chicken and homemade chicken broth is far better than store bought. I was going to mention that about the strawberries but noticed someone else had talked about what else you could use them for in their comment. I love how you plan ahead and not just think of the here and now. Awesome video and we are all left smiling over the fur babies.
I like the way you take only what you can use, and not get greedy. You never know how many other people dive there. Dumpster diving may be the only way some get to eat. I'm not sure where you are located or if your area has a homeless problem, but those are the people I worry about. Glad you leave some for them if they need it.
Oh my gosh, you had to be so tired after work, dumpster diving and then canning. It's really great you're getting so much done and squirreling away as much as you can for spring & summer. 👍
I love that you are posting new videos everyday! I love your diving videos and your thrift hauls. But some of the thrift store prices are ridiculously high. I can’t understand why they sell things almost like they were new. Everything is donated. Some things are just not worth buying. Have a blessed day.♥️
I was surprised u didn’t go ballistic finding that huge cheese tray. My grocery throws out a lot of chickens. Sadly they have a compactor, otherwise I’d grab them regularly. I’m surprised u left that watermelon.
Such another great haul. Great job. You are great at preserving and preparing your food for later. I enjoy reading comments from other viewers, I always learn something about the ways people prepare and store perishable food. The babies are adorable just love watching them. 😺
Man...that Cheese tray...I would be making more Pieogies which I made 41 of them on Saturday...gotta love cheese...oh make Mac&Cheese too...BACON IS A Good GROUP....great haul.!

Great score on strawberry making jam and dehydrating make into powder for baking oatmeal and cereal great save on all the food.If you have a garden Save Banana peels put in water jug makes a great fertilizer
Thank you! Doesn't it feel great to eat for free? 😁 I would definitely look into it, there are some helpful pages on facebook that I'm in too. It has allowed me to really use all that I find
This is a GREAT dive! You have wonderful luck! I think it is wonderful to see you use everything as far as it will go. I am shocked at what stores throw out these days.Thank you for taking us along!
Your home canned chicken looks so good, and will be good in many recipes. I know someone who buys the 10 lb. bags of frozen chicken leg quarters when they are on sale and cans them for later use. We do what we have to do to feed our families. You have a good level head on your shoulders and will be able o survive no matter what obstacles come your way!
I've been checking a few dumpsters close to me, Dollar General, Walgreens and Dollar Tree. I haven't found anything yet. Haven't made it to Aldi just yet.
Looks like the chicken sausages I find in my area (Ontario, Canada), they're usually pretty "pale". Nice thing with the hot packed rotisserie chicken is you can just dump it in a pan and thicken it to serve over rice, noodles or potatoes, or use as a pot pie filling. Rotisserie chickens are cheaper than me buying an air chilled whole chicken so I was canning them up over last summer as they were on sale for picnicers quite often.
Please don't pressure cook any kitties. 💟 She is the cutest little kitty. Gus looks like a blue eyed panda laying on the floor on his back. Good haul, I like your planning for the summer months, by freezing and pressure cooking meat, broth. Do you have a compost for your garden? I have seen TH-cam videos where they dumpster dived to get veggies fruit etc for the chickens. I like the little wood pig on your window sill, and the welcome duck. Peace love happiness
I do have a compost, but this summer I'm planning on giving it a full revamp to really get the best use from it. I am very excited to find my chickens lots of tasty dumpster snacks 😁
Great haul. I reckon you probably get nervous about being caught when you're diving which is understandable but it's your haul and up to you what you use it for , great video :)
Yes your chicken sausage is the right color, it looks just like mine. You have someone in the far North and now me in the Far South (Island), saying the same thing so rest easy that it’s the right color. You still have the best looking "Asparagus " I’ve ever seen, lol. They are both too sweet. Stay safe while diving.
That's what chicken sausages look like. They are likely precooked. If you enjoy chili, try adding jalapeños and the bell peppers. I like chili even without meat, just beans. Glad to hear you're canning the chicken.
I like your Aldi's dumpster. The one I have gone to does not have a side opening. LOL I got some bananas and a dessert cookie though. Grateful for any little thing. ♥Thanks for sharing!
Keep checking! This same dumpster used to have one of those top only opening dumpsters and it was so huge and hard to manage! But then one day a few years ago they switched it out, yay! Hope the same happens for you 😁
You can freeze the bell peppers and the jalapenos. Just chop them, bag them, and throw them in the freezer. When you need some just break them apart and throw the in any dish that you need them in.
You can take the opened packages and give them to the wildlife. I rather that the wildlife eat those opened packages of food then to see the food rot. Great video. Stay safe and God Bless. 😊
I haven't been diving in awhile. After watching this video I may go tonight. This was a great haul! Love all the videos! Thank you. Stay safe & kiss those sweet kitties.
Wow Cam, you have found some really good goodies tonight. I am really glad that you take things and just use your better judgement as if they are still good. I love how you are very considerate of others. I love the bell peppers and my dog does also. I found that they are really good for dogs. The pears wow. Love love them. I have never heard of Gordon’s grocery chain. Th rotisserie chicken looks very good. I buy mine at Sam’s club and usually make several freezer meals I can use later when I do not feel like cooking. I am so glad to hear how you plan on using the rotisserie chickens. Everything looked so good. I am so glad to see someone getting use out of things they the grocery chains think need to be thrown out. Till next time, please stay safe Betty 🙏🥰❤️💕♥️
Maybe think about getting a small chest or upright freezer? With all the money you save on food it will pay for its self. You can take more food to last thru the summer.
I actually do have one, but it is very small. 3 cu ft maybe, so I still have to limit what I put into it. Since my house is quite small, I have limited space for it to go, and I don't particularly want a freezer in my living room, but I would love to get a bigger one if I had room!
You can also can bacon. Take all the produce and meats you find that you can process in canner. Also when making jam, apples or lemon will help flavor, color and set up. I've made strawberry syrup before, canned it and it was fantastic on pancakes. Make everything shelf stable you have jars for. You will find space to store it. With the things you find you could make it through the warmer months without finding meats. That was an awesome score
Thank you! I appreciate it, I only follow safety tested recipes for canning out of an abundance of caution though. Bacon unfortunately has not passed safety standards.
I would be tempted to make a big, 'ole pot of chicken stock out of those chickens by quickly bringing to a boil, dropping the temperature, and keeping a temp ofvst least 140 degrees for 20 minutes.....pressure canning and bone broth should kill just about everything too.
Fantastic mix of goodies Cam, what is Kippy doing in that pan lol, and as always Gus just chilling on his back lol, l have had those candy floss/cotton candy grapes before, and I admit I didn’t think they would taste like it, but I was surprised they were delicious, my advice is “don’t judge a grape before you taste it” 😅, and the meat get it while you can, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thought was plastic, was thinking if glass you would have taken them. Vinegar and coffee used to come in glass containers. My grandma saved them, you can use small canning lid and rings on them for storage. They work great, about 1 gallon size.
I am always excited to see how you round out your menus with what you find. Have you ever considered showing your meals that you make up? Also, I am assuming you can't find everything....what are things you have to purchase ti fill in? I would guess oil, flour l, salt and sugar?
Thank you! Yes, I actually have a few videos recently showing everything I eat, and another one in the works for this week. Currently my eating is about 95% from my dumpster finds. In my previous video I just found a 25 pound bag of sugar, and I found a whole case of flour in the fall 😁 Those finds definitely aren't as consistent though, so I do have to supplement when needed. Same with butter
We ended up with 5lb bags of Land O Lakes cheese cubes. They lasted for forever unopened in the fridge and a good month opened. We portioned into snackmand sandwich bags.

Thank you Diana, have a great day ☺️
Chicken salad sounds good to make from that canned chicken 😊
Anything with a lid makes a great greenhouse.
I agree and use plastic containers with lids when starting my garden seeds.👍
You can make a strawberry concentrate to can for... strawberry lemonade!
I found 30 packs of still cold salm9n in our Aldi dumpster. I grabbed it and shared with 2 other families. It was about $350 worth.
Wow! Awesome find and awesome save for you!
Yes, the chicken sausages are supposed to be that white color.
You can seed grapes so you don't have to buy.they sprout really good.
H ave you tried belle peppers roasted. I get proper jealous when you get them lol xxx

The chicken sausages look fine, I buy them all the time! They are great in pasta with a white sauce, on pizza, or just cooked and eaten on a bun.
Awesome finds.
We make our own dog food using chicken, oatmeal, and pumpkin. I would have totally taken the rotisserie chickens! Great haul!
