I just wonder, maybe in the first timeline, Sensei wasn't able to help the foreclosure taskforce in preventing Abydos from closing. Gematria managed to obtain Hoshino and the other girls (or maybe only Shiroko) ended up joining a terrorist group or maybe Arius academy. Based on what I've read from spoilers, Saori is planning to kill Sensei to start a war. The opening did show Shiroko pointing a gun at us. Unless, Shiroko spared us and only destroyed the Shittim Chest so the Prime Student Council President would lose access to the tower. There are only a few chapters available in the Server I'm playing in but I'm starting to see what could've lead to the amount of destruction shown in the opening cutscene when the President was talking to Sensei. This game is really making me theorize a lot.
There's still a lot of uncertainties need to unravel mate... The fact that the reason for the disappearance of General Student Council President is still haven't revealed yet means we still have very long way to go or probably we still aren't on the middle part yet... or most likely, all of those episodes in main story are just only a beginning 🤔

Maybe this is connected to how Schale still posses the Shittim key so Sensei is still technically the one who have the highest Authority in Kivotos despite transferring most of those authority to the General Student Council. The Shittim Chest does seem to be the only method to access the Tower. Arona probably only transferred the rights to the GSC, but the Chest is still main thing that controls the tower. If both Sensei, the current owner of the chest, and the Shittim Chest itself are gone, access to the tower would probably be lost as well. Then comes the part of the Opening cutscene which showed the Shittim Chest destroyed and Shiroko pointing a gun at us. If my guess that the Shiroko in the opening cutscene is the result of Abydos' closing and then joining Arius, would turn out to be the case; that could mean Shiroko was the one tasked to destroy the Chest and eliminate Sensei. Although, she probably didn't kill Sensei and only injured them enough to not be able to do anything while the war was happening. Then, with the chest destroyed, even the GSC President lost all access to the tower and the GSC were probably forced to fight in the war too or stopped it using everything they can. That would explain why the GSC President appeared to be wounded and why in the background, it looks like Kivotos was destroyed. Maybe, that war is the "cruel fate" that the GSC President was referring to in the cutscene. These are just my guesses based on what's currently in the Game and the Spoilers I've read though. And I'm completely ignoring the events with Gematria and Decagrammaton since I believe they wouldn't be connected to the war Arius is trying to start.
Some clarifications mate... Is the shittim chest is the tablet were Sensei is the only one that can access on it and on that Shittim chest, is where Arona resides, right? And regarding your Shiroko theory ... Your assumption could be true since the first volume of the main story isn't over yet... Though they managed to save Hoshino, this doesn't mean they're already safe from the Kaiser Corp. and if we based on your theory that Shiroko will join Arius, then this Kaiser Corp might have something to do with Arius. We couldn't say yet that these assumption of ours are true, but we'll see on further chapters of the story🤔
I agree on this one since shiroko have hidden criminal impulses Inside her mind always waiting for a trigger. And maybe it is the reason she is the cover of blue archive.
