Just a few points of correction. Firstly, it is NOT a conventional belt driven cvt. It’s an electronically controlled transmission, similar to an orbital drive, exceptionally robust and reliable, ensuring that the engine remains at peak torque for efficiency and is sublimely smooth and seamless even if revs do climb at full throttle. Secondly, it is not true to suggest it’s slow or sluggish, it simply is not. Lexus famously underplay their performance figures, a hang up from earlier luxury models to try and dissuade a performance image that could detract from luxury and refinement. The fact that even the outgoing RX3 has been tested 0 to 60 in 6.8 seconfs underlines that. 300bhp and loads of torque make for effortless progress and overtakes at no cost to reliability. The retention of buttons over dreadful touch screens is to be welcomed. Reliable, proven and more practical. They’re a fabulous do it all car. Fabulous long distance tourers, leaving you refreshed even after hours behind the wheel. Handling on the fsport is better than a car of 2.2 tonnes has any right to be and you can tackle corners without excessive body roll and enjoy the drive although they are better and quieter making polite progress. Supremely well screwed together and reliable, better than ANY of the European rivals means longer term they’re incredibly modest on cost of ownership. The electric motors here are not for range, they’re for increased torque and low/mid range performance and for low tax. Excellent family cars and you can buy one and run it trouble free for a good ten years or longer.
Is it possible that just a few have had the plessure to se the review of this Lexus, the best car you can buy.thanks foryour fantastic knowledge in this video as always.

When you get a BMW fan to review a Lexus.. he simply doesn't get it.
