I still believe that Malkocoglu doesn't love Mihrimah.
However, time passed and maybe Mihrimah has grown up and gets more responsibility, and that's why she sees Malkocoglu more often. Seems like she's more understanding and that's what Malkocoglu has been wishing. Rustem is too jealous. He never does himself right in front of Malkocoglu though.
I don't know. I never think Mihrimah deserves love from Malkocoglu. If you have seen the time when he lost his love Armin to a plague, and again when he almost lost his head because he loved one of Mustafa's girls, you know that how much he values love.
Who are commenting that Bali Bey didn't love Mihirmah, they should pay heed to what he said, "diatance makes people understand the worth of loved ones. " So, please try to read between the lines.

I don't think Bali Bey was jealous or in love with Mihrimah. I rather feel like he felt protective of her, since he saw her grow up (and mentioned that he still saw her as a child to Hürrem, and I don't think he suddenly fell in love with her), plus his dislike of Rüstem. And Rüstem in turn is very jealous of every man talking to Mihrimah and I think he knows that Mihrimah had a longtime crush on Bali Bey.
