Really? Have you even read the book or watched his filmography. He’s a middle school teacher who is also a scientist and basically has to fill in a slot when something happens. Gosling is perfect for the role. He is an actor that gives 100 percent to the parts he plays and can be hilariously funny or serious. Not a lot of actors can do both he can. When you have Clooney and Carrel saying he is the best actor of his generation and all the awards and noms he has had, I think he is one of the most intelligent guys in the film business.
