When I was hiking the Appalachian trail in 2006 a Whippoorwill perched on the fire ring in front of the shelter I was staying at. I love those things but they sure sound better way up the holler than echoing around your shelter at 3 am! 🤣

Hey, how is that Blackstone Griddle working out for you? I know the TAG has a 10,000 BTU max rear propane port, and that griddle is rated at 12,500 BTUs. I’m assuming you’re using the rear propane connection on the camper to fuel the griddle.
Is the griddle hot enough for cooking? Any issues? I really want a Blackstone 17” griddle but I want to make sure it will work with my 2023 TAG XL Boondock.

Hello Janie! I still use the AGM in my teardrop camper. I also still use the Jackery 1000 as well, which is a portable lithium battery. I think having both really gives you the best of both worlds, however if you’re a weekend warrior who needs an affordable and reliable option for stuff like running lights, fans, water pump, and your furnace, the AGM is a great option.

Why would it be illegal to burn a certain type of wood during a specific time of year?
There is typically an open fire ban during early spring and late fall when conditions are dry and there is a higher risk of forest fires. The type of wood is irrelevant. The ban applies to any wood fire.

@@PCouch1993 I will usually google the area with the term "fire restrictions". Memorial Day is usually around the time those bans are lifted in the north eastern states. It's probably different in other areas.
