I've lived my whole life within sight of Neyland stadium so I've done a lot of tailgating there. Besides the tailgating the river is a huge bonus because it's accessable for all the rich people who live in West Knoxville to drive their boats from their homes to the stadium. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Tennessee is the only team in the SEC with a "Navy" that shows up at every game. That really adds to the whole game day experience.

At one time there was an opening so the pups could keep an eye on the scoreboard in the south end zone. But when that was closed in several years ago for a seating expansion, a scoreboard was installed outside the stadium so the departed mascots could keep up.

Few little known facts about UGA's Sanford Stadium.
Sanford stadium is actually built over a still active creek (Tanyard creek)
UGA's hedges were planted in 1929 and the hedges today are descendants (cuttings) of the original hedges.
The hedges were temporarily removed for the 1996 Olympics soccer games, they were found to be suffering from nematodes and healthy cuttings from the original plants were sent to 2 separate, then "secret", nurseries owned by UGA grads and those cuttings are what replaced the "original" hedges.
UGA's field is known as playing "Between the Hedges" (It is has been re-named Dooley field but it will always be known as playing Between the Hedges)
Auburn's hedges were planted in 1987 when then head coach Pat Dye ( a UGA grad was there. BTW UGA's coach Dooley is an Auburn grad )
Unbeknownst to some, there is a chain link fence hidden by the hedges. There was a student streaker at my graduation from UGA in 1986 that was chased, tried to hurdle the hedges and missed. He found the chain link the hard way :)

Conversely, Bryant-Denny used to be an absolute joke, but Alabama has poured tons of money into it now that it has replaced Legion Field entirely as their home stadium.

The first thing I noticed in comparison to our Arkansas stadium was all the close large parking lots! Most people have to park a mile or more from the stadium because the parking lots are mostly for season ticket holders, and their passes can cost a $100 or more per game if you want to park close! The season pass holders have to pay way more than that just for the parking lot pass.

Neyland might look impressive on tv, but it is old, nasty, cracks throughout, and the seats in the upper deck are just covered in pigeon poo. They do not take care of that place at all and because of that, Neyland would never be one of the best stadiums. The concourse makes you feel like you are in the 1960's.

We got to LSU early morning and our teacher and assistant principal turned us loose, saying “We don’t want to see you until tonight”. I passed by Tiger Stadium, and I could see students looking out and down towards me. That was pretty cool to see.
I walked all over campus and went to Leisure Landing to buy some cassettes. Met up with some classmates later and they took me to a little A-frame building that sold cheap hamburgers, 25¢ I think. It was located on Highland Rd.

It looks the best from inside & outside with the brick facade. It looks like it was actually built all at once, where the other stadiums look like sections have been patched in throughout the years to add capacity. Unlike all the other stadiums in the SEC, it's the only stadium where every single new renovation was built specifically to blend into the existing stadium so it doesn't look haphazard as all the other stadiums do. UK easily has the nicest stadium. Not because I'm biased, but because of the technology, the vending, the tailgating area, the overall ease of leaving, the police having excellent ways of routing people safely to their vehicle, the chair seating even in upper deck, the suites, the lounges, the restaurants in the stadium, the fireworks show they put on. You truly won't understand unless you visit each of these stadiums. But out of all the stadiums I've been to, Kentucky has the nicest one.
