The view of the mountains and trees in the distance of the Rose Bowl is beautiful, especially at sunset, very old stadium but I've always enjoyed going. The LA Coliseum is in need of seating renovations big time, but the game atmosphere is actually amazing in person.

You should revisit the LA Coliseum it was renovated in 2018 including all new seating. That’s why the capacity was decreased from 92,000 to 78,000. The new seats are wider and having been to a game in 2019, they are a lot more comfortable. Having been to both the coliseum and the rose bowl I can say that I find the newly renovated coliseum the more enjoyable of the two.

I hear Arizona State is where Seattle-based high school standout linebacker Sturdyvant Mickerson went to college on a football scholarship back in the late 80s. When asked why he didn’t play for his hometown Washington Huskies he replied, “it was the stadium that won me over. I cannot lie. I like big buttes.” In his first game he tore both ACLs, quit the football team and decided to pursue a rap career as Sir-Mix-a-Lot.

Sun Devil Stadium is also directly underneath the flight pattern for Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport. When I was in high school our marching band played there as part of the festivities for the annual Fiesta Bowl, and a plane went overhead just as we were about to start our performance, and to this day I'm surprised that I (along with many of my fellow band members) was able to maintain sphincter control. We're from a small town that doesn't see many passenger jets flying that low over the town, so I'm also somewhat surprised that we maintained composure and didn't scatter to the exits like a flock of spooked chickens.

Interesting note about Arizona Stadium....there are dorms under it!
I'm a Sun Devil but did go down to Tucson to watch a game against USC many moons ago. Walking up, i couldn't believe it...students hanging signs and partying it up with all their windows open. I can't imagine how loud that's gotta be...ha!
Also, the Rose Bowl is infamous for the upper seats being so far away (horizontally) from the game, you'll need binoculars and/or a satellite-feed. And the walk to the restrooms is a country-mile.
Edit: And now I see another poster mentioned the same thing about AZ.... It's such an unusual arrangement...like Woody Allen's childhood home in "Annie"...built under a rollercoaster...🤣
