    When it comes to bottles glue or resins , i put a little Vaseline around the threads to be absolutely sure. I was having a hard time with that and one of my older clients "82 yr old sweetest woman ever" comes walking into my salon and says "here you go dear , it's an old trick and it's going to save you from unnecessary aggravation" LOL Bless her because she saved me from throwing out a lot of product and getting annoyed at bottles and using pliers to open , if they opened haha So that's also a little trick , especially for the brush on glue bottles

    I like your method as opposed to everyone dunking their fingers into the same jar. That's the main reason I stopped using SNS (and the fact that their advertising is more dodgy than an elephant in a minefield). My question is, where's the apex? Unless you put like 10 layers on where the apex should be, and that takes forrrrrrever.

    Question: Is using the dip powder with resin or the ManiQ base and top coat just a matter of preference (on the natural nail)?
    If the client already has an acrylic or gel overlay or enhancement, do we match the dip powder preference (resin vs gel) with what they already have on their nails? Does it matter?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a very different wear to the nails between resin and *conversion gel. Resin leaves a very rock hard surface where pairing it with conversion gives more of a flexible yet durable wear. If a client came in with enhancements I would recommend removal and application of the dip system or filling the client with what they already have on.

    • @charley408
      @charley408 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes what she said! If someone has any other enhancement on and gets this, they could tear their nail off due to the difference in material amd hardness. This shouldnt be places on natural nails in my opinion.

    How do you build the apex with the dip?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can put an extra coat of glue right where the apex should be prior to your 2 regular coats of glue and that will give you a little extra strength. Dip system nails usually last best at more of an active length in most cases.

  • @PsychoPixy222
    @PsychoPixy222 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    At 3:39 using the activator you contaminate the rest of your bottle by not wiping off your brush from the powder/color and placing it back into the bottle. Yet later you talk about wiping the brush at a different step... shouldn't you have done it here as well?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the 3:39 point, she is using the Activator to dry the nail. With this product you don't have to worry about "contaminating" the rest of the bottle. The reason we are more concerned about wiping the brush when using the Top Coat is that when you brush the Top Coat on, it is coming in contact with the Activator that is on the nail. If you transfer the Activator from the nail on the brush back into the bottle, it will "activate" or harden all of the product in the bottle.

  • @JR-fk9zn
    @JR-fk9zn ปีที่แล้ว

    Would this last as long as gel top coat ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว

      They will both last long, but depending on which you are using, a gel top coat may be more durable. A hard gel top coat (Stain Resistant, Gloss, or Ultimate Finish) will be harder and will not wear if the nails come in contact with solvents like acetone.

    Why does dip nail sometimes crack?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      when the nail gets longer there is more of a chance of cracking at the stress point because the natural nail bends and dip nails are so hard it can crack right at the free edge, when the nails get longer it's required to have more product to prevent cracking

      We can’t speak on other brands of products as we don’t test them. Our videos are on how to use our products specifically.

    I just don't like these things. Salons around here are advertising these things as "vegan " "nonGMO" and "no harmful UV lamp". People obviously believe this nonsense. I can't do misleading marketing just to make a buck.

      p.j. Bailey This system is amazing and it has vitamin d and calcium added which helps natural nails. You don't have to advertise like other salons.

      Brooke Payne vitamins and calcium applied topically to Nails do absolutely nothing. More misleading marketing.

      It’s such false advertising, places around me have the nerve to add “organic” and “natural” 🙄😡

      p.j. Bailey you are dead right. They claim the system is with added calcium and vitamins. The only thing in the whole system that has vitamins and minerals is the cuticle oil. That's how they get around getting prosecuted for false advertising. I'm yet to see advertising for the Young Nails system, so I can't include them. I am impressed with their methods, though.

    I’m sorry but this is gonna have to be a pass for me. The cups this kit comes with are just not necessary plus not the most comfortable way to do it compared to just dipping your nails .
