    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    Thank you, Greg!! Thanks YN! For covering this tutorial step by step with pointers inbtwn. 🤗 I bought the trial over a year ago and it was an epic fail...😩 So she's been safely put away out of sight / out of mind. Now that I'm back (long story) to be able to do nails, I'm finding myself and my specialty / concentration for nails and I know I cannot be around monomer but for so long. So at this point I want to be more of a gel tech with other capabilities while occasionally using monomer. 🤗 I'm very happy being a gel tech with all of it's availability but I do know myself and I want wide ranges of my specialty to prevent boredom....and then it recently happened...💡💡💡....I remembered I had your trial kit in my collection and jump into your dip powder play list for encouragement. After watching this one several times I finally build up the courage to try again.....🤔🤔🤔 And success!!!! They look so pretty!! 🥳 I didn't realize how hard they can be which gives me insurance that it's a great acrylic/ non monomer needed sub. 🤗 And I did learn that I can use your gel as well instead of resin...which is great because that resin system can also give me a headache as well so im soooooo glad you guys made a tutorial about using gel instead of resin. 🤗🤗🤗 You guys are really awesome. Thank you for teaching us on how to use your products correctly and not just leaving it up to us to figure it out. I really can't wait to be able to jump into this career full time. I'm currently under a 2-year hair contract at a salon so that's giving me a jump start to build up my nail skills and clientele so that I can get my own booth after. I'm ready for this change for soo many reasons. Plus I get to finally sit for work 😂. I'm soo excited. You guys will officially be my main supplier 💯💯💯 trust. I'm purchasing little by little to learn how to use your products and then I'm all in. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Confidence level increased!!! 🥳🥂✌🏾♥️💅🏾💅💅🏼

    I just had an epiphany. Not sure if it will work but what if...... you have a container that separates into 2 pieces, the bottom is an empty cup/bowl, the other part is a container with a removable skaker top that holds your powder. Ok? So you'd be able to grab your color choice, remove the lid which also serves as your bowl and flip it over. Now instead of messing with a spoon, which is another tool to pick up and set down, you use the shaker that already has the powder in it. Once you're done with all ten nails, you remove the shaker lid from the part that contains your powder, dump all the loose powder that collected in the bowl back into the shaker assembly, put the shaker lid back on the shaker then the bowl/lid back on the whole thing. I wish you could see the picture I have in my head because I think it would be pretty awesome. Same product, same system, just a different way of storing and using the powders. It's already in a plastic container, let's make the plastic container functional

    How do I avoid lumps/bumps with dip? It seems like I always have it near my cuticles and it's not flat or smooth as if I got them done at a salon. I usually wipe one side of the base brush on the inside of the bottle and leave the other side of the brush "full" of liquid to be able to use on my nails. I typically start the brush in the middle of my nail, drag it down toward the free edge, and push up and fan out toward my cuticle. But still end up with lumpy/bumpy nails. How can I stop it?

    I got mystery box slickpours as well I've never used the dip system have questions how do we extend if client wants length added to natural nails? how does it work with fills is it easy to remove does it file off easy or soak each time ? not sure if I want to add this service seems like alot of steps. what is the advantage of using this compared to acrylic or gels? thanks for any advice.

    • @Ishtar2419
      @Ishtar2419 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah agree, you can't really fill this product has to be soaked off. And yes you can use it with extension tips but doesn't come out as smooth as his application. You really have to do a few more layers so that you can file it into shape and get an apex, it is quite lumpy. I think you need more than the 2 layers he used anyway as it cracks if it's too thin. I use 3-4 layers especially if they are long nails.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Slick Pour powders are acrylic powder, they are just more finely ground so they get good color consistency as a dip product. So if you prefer to just use them as a normal acrylic with monomer, that's completely ok.
      If you are wanting to build an extension as a dip service, you would have to apply a tip and then do the dip process over that. You can fill as a dip service, but depending on the color you are wanting to fill with, you may have to completely remove the previous color. For example, if you have red dip on the nail and want to change to blue, you would have to remove all of the red. But if you have red on and want to keep that same red, you can just fill in the cuticle area with that same color.
      Depending on your comfort level with the efile, dip product can be filed off with the Safety Bit-Coarse or it can be soaked off with acetone.

      You don't have to soak it off. You can file off the color down to the base layer and then re-prep and apply.

      We have right and left handed bits that you would use in forward. If you are using one of our bits that does not specify a direction, then it can be used for both. In that case, you would use the bit in forward when holding in your right hand and reverse when in your left.

    Do you have a system where powder that has come in contact with one client is not used on any other person? Even pouring the powder over the nail and letting it go back in the original container can and likely does cause contamination.
    I am looking for a system that reduces wasted product but has no cross contamination with the powder.

      Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.

      Our slickpour (dip powders) work in a variety of ways. They can be used with a 4 step resin system, with our monomer for acrylics, with our conversion base and top to convert into gel or mixed with out hard gel for custom colors. You can also use it for sugaring over gel polish. We will link some videos below:
