I sure am sorry that you had all that trouble, as you would say, "sadness"! I really do enjoy your videos a lot, you always make me smile or just laugh out loud with your comments, while you're working on stuff. I have the markers on my John Deere 7000 the same way. The previous owner made it that way and I found it to be more convenient, especially in odd shaped fields. Time for a Barley Pop.

Ross, unless it's the camera angle but, take a hard look at the angle on that idler, it's looks like it's pointing slight and out of alignment. It doesn't take much to pop those chains off. Let's hope for a wonderful harvest... weather permitting. Cheers :)

Why would you want your markers slamming down on the ground? Just crazy, the things people say!!. I remember the days when my dad had pull a trip rope to lower the marker on his JD 4 row planter. I still see them falling down and bouncing on the ground. We were always working on planter markers during planting season. Congrats on getting your crops in. That's always a relief!
