Did you figure it out yet? My 94 is doing the same thing. I’ve changed fuel pump, fuel filter, cap, distributor, plugs, wires. Also I smoked it for any vacuum leaks and found one at the egr valve. I haven’t had a chance to put the new one in yet to see if it fixes it.
I haven’t messed with the car in awhile. I’ve been busy with other things and I’ve been frustrated with the car when it keeps acting up. But soon I may try new spark plugs and wires and go from there, stay tuned for an update video!
I got a job at a Ford dealership changing oil on cars, and then they put me with the transmission guy. Every day I was removing transmissions from cars, he was rebuilding the complex ones on the bench. He taught me to rebuild the simple Focus/Fiesta transmissions (horrible design by Ford) and then I would reinstall transmissions. Learned a lot about the ins and outs of working on cars in that time, like being careful with plastic sensors under the hood, where to pry from to pop axles out on FWD transmissions, figuring out socket and swivel extension setups in tight areas under the car while wrenching, stuff like that. Then at home I would just tackle any job I could on the Mustang or my other cars and TH-cam how to videos if I got stuck on a repair. Once you start getting experience and more confidence with working on cars the sky is the limit!
@@donatinghorsepower5100 Do you have social media? I’ve started working on my own vehicles and would like tips, your opinion on what things might be etc when possible. Do you have social media? I’ve started working on my own vehicles and would like tips, your opinion on what things might be when possible. I have a 1995 Mustang I’m currently working on, I’m thinking I have a sensor problem but I’m not to sure. I’m also working on my Chevy Silverado.
The plugs and wires are 4 years old so I figured I would check them just to rule them out 100%. And I replaced the fuel filter 4000ish miles ago so that should be good. Any ideas on what other components of the fuel system I should check? Every time I key on the ignition the fuel pump priming sounds the same as it always has. Just trying to learn as I go
@@donatinghorsepower5100 same bro that's why I asked lol , been keeping mine going for 30 years learn as I go and I'm not a mechanic. The only time I had similar issues , bad fuel pump other my coil would over heat start misfiring than the fuckin shit just died completely on me while I was doing 80 on the highway lol
I didn't know the spark plugs had removable caps either. Hope you get it sorted out I want to know what it is now myself.
Random fact of the day then. And yes once I figure it out I will post an update video

How did you learn to work on vehicles?

Just curious what made you trouble shoot plugs first instead of fuel issue ?
