@@BoostedMonkey4g63 thanks! I’m still new to all the tuning aspect of things. Learning as I go, glad Kevin has done all the leg work and heavy lifting for me!
One of my dream cars for sure! Getting alot harder to find clean ones and when you do they are asking for a kidney! 😂 it's crazy tho how much more boost it takes to make power on the 4g over a k24. 35-40lbs of boost in a k24 gets you way up there on the hp numbers
@@HooligansMx well a k24 has a better flowing head and also has a higher compression due to being naturally aspirated. But yeah the K series is probably the best 4 cylinder out there! I’d give the 4g a good second place!
@@HooligansMx and yes they’re very hard to find in good condition! Glad I bought this one when I did! I’ve had 5 and all my other ones weren’t nearly as nice or clean as this one!
I remember racing my friends younger brother in my lightining and his gsx started pulling I was so mad lol it took my 600 horsepower Camaro and he was keeping up with 420
@@marylandcopsarecorrupt power to weight baby! In the small clip at the start of the video. The Camaro made almost 500whp and I was pulling away hard. 3100lbs vs 4000lbs makes a big difference!
@@louiscongionti2394 ecmlink is a very rough calculator. It can be close sometimes. Other times not. When I made 430 on pump gas ecmlink said 408hp. Now it’s saying 580hp. So I’m guessing it’s around 600hp right now but it could be less. Still a blast though :)
Why do people choose to run F-faced RPF1s when the R-faced are RIGHT THERE!? Just go 9 wide, geeeeeeeez. (This is somewhat satire, but I really don't find the convex pokey look of the F-faced wheels to be great. Really wished they offered R-faced in at least an 8.5 wide and in 16" between 8 and 9 wide)
@@Drunken_Hamster i totally agree with you, I wish these were 9 or 9.5 wide but I got these wheels for $200 with new tires soo I’m not gonna complain. Don’t worry, new wheels next year. And they’re gonna be a lot wider!
@@klaytonpavlik Damn, how'd you get a set of RPF1s for so cheap? Marketplace deal? I'm kinda in the market, especially for a deal like that, but I need 17x9 +45s on a 5x114 bolt pattern.
You don’t need to be turning off and on to mess with the boost via ecmlink, you only do this if you are messing with your direct access.

I own a mint 1998 GSX and on meth at 30 lbs of boost I saw 457 HP on ECMlink ,
