  • Learn how to get anything you want using the 6 weapons of influence in Robert Cialdini's book - Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion.
    ★★★ SOCIAL ANXIETY COACHING ★★★
    Hey, it's Brandon! On a 60-minute Zoom call, I will help you to stop caring what people think of you.
    I will help you to get your social skills to a level where you're enjoying yourself and not constantly second-guessing everything.
    In high school I used to be a 'floater' - I'd walk around from group to group, never feeling like I fit in. I was always the quiet one, and I was afraid to talk to women, let alone understand them.
    Now I talk to women with ease, dive into public speaking gigs with enthusiasm, vibe with my real friends, and choose to be the one who organizes get-togethers.
    My approach is to 'cut to the mustard' and get to the Truth of parts of yourself you are hiding, but only as far as you are willing to go. I will never force you to do or say something you don't want to do.
    My number one reason for helping you is to get you to place in yourself where you feel like you are free. You are at ease. Because you are being the authentic you!

    Hey, I wanted to address the "tell your friends" thing. You actually don't want to tell anyone your goals unless it's someone that will actually hold you accountable. What happens when you tell someone you're gonna do something and they give you positive feedback, is that it makes you feel like you've done something when you've not actually gone any further toward your goal. Studies have shown that people are actually less likely to follow through with a new habit or goal if they tell people about it who don't actually hold them to it, compared to people who just write it down

    Reminds me of high school when I let some of my classmates copy my HW. If I had the chutzpah and read this book earlier, I would have let them copy my work as a free trial but any more assignments and they'll have to pay $5/assignment. Hindsight is 20/20

      Is it coincidence or both of their first names are Robert? Man, 48LoP is a really nice book but truthfully saying, it's not practical in all use cases. Some of the laws helped me a lot like the "talk less than necessary" and "hide your intentions" and "use absence". I will buy influence soon. It sounds like an interesting read.

    Can you share the summary of "The Now Habit" by Neil Fiore

  • @notyourfetish
    @notyourfetish ปีที่แล้ว

    This can actually be applied to all things. Including sexuality, religion, branding and merchandising, political views... A to z, the powers of persuasion, planting seeds and manipulation, along with fear mongering and the whole ideology that "everyone is doing it" has a lot more power and control than people seem to realize. Individuals get stuck pointing the finger at one another instead of analyzing themselves and learning their own behaviors, which would all them to become more mindful relating to their own individual behavior. This in turn only causes conflict of interest, confusion and dilemma in understanding your purpose and existence in life. Understanding psychology and how the human brain functions, responds and behaves is crucial in all things.

    The one about being perceived as an authority works for other characterics as well, doesn't it? If everyone in a room seems to like someone, then you're more likely to like (see what I did there xD) him too.
    I hope you don't mind if I ask a small question. I've been working on a new animated self-help channel (no worries I'll make it as unique as I possibly can) and I was wondering whether authors are always okey with us taking their idea's and then even making money on their idea's. Yes we are promoting them but what if an author doesn't like that? Is that copyright infringement? I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks in advance Brandon.

    I wonder if manipulating others in meaningful ways is really this simple? It may say more than mere words can about the person trying to do the manipulating, perhaps in a way that will badly backfire sooner than later.

      To share my take on the 6 weapons of influence, the primary principles in Robert's book. Whilst you can't take EVERYTHING from a book and put it into a summary, over 78,000 people find the summaries beneficial to get a glimpse and see if a book warrants further reading, or they're used as a quick way to remember highlights from a book that's already been read.
