Yahooooo! This week was AWESOME. Lots of fun OBGYN shenanigans including a 24hr shift. I got my first on-call room, which was such a fun experience! I didn't have to sleep in a chair over night (quite delightful). Also, answered some of your guys' burning questions! :D Leave a like and comment down below! Lmk what you've been up to.
I definitely know that OBGYN is not for me but I could listen to you talk about it for hours. You’re so genuine when you talk about it and I swear there’s a twinkle in your eye every time you do. I hope whatever I choose in the future will make me feel the same way obgyn does for you. I can’t wait to see you become an official obgyn doctor in the future
Seeing how passionate you are for the medical field gives me a lot of hope for our future doctors. I’m not a medical professional myself, by I read/hear about medical professionals leaving the field in waves because of the pandemic. I’m glad to see that there are people like you and your medical community who are still passionate about the medical field. Thank you!
I’m currently on my OBGYN posting too and we got to see 2 c-sections and an hysterectomy this week. I cant stop reimagining that moment when the doc got the baby out and showed her to her mom and she smiled. Such a precious moment. You’re going to be such a great OBGYN Rachel! LOVE YOU❤️
I'm heading to med school this fall!! I read a lot on reddit from r/residency and r/medicalschool as well as twitter-there's a bunch of awesome and invaluable information there that really gives a good preface to what's to come. But I often find myself feeling scared about med school because all I hear is how brutal and difficult it is. I completely understand that those people are venting and it's extremely valuable to hear that perspective but I will say it is refreshing watching your videos. You give a well-rounded perspective and ease my fears. Obviously, you never shy away from showing the hard parts but you also always show the rewarding and awesome parts. Makes me super excited to go down this path and eases my fears of the "doom and gloom" of medical training. Thank you, Rachel!!!!
Rachel, I just wanted to say that as someone who is not even considering becoming a doctor (nothing against it, just not my thing), I have continued to watch your videos for the past two years or so. They always make me smile and your work ethic and PASSION for what you do is so incredibly inspiring. I appreciate you more than you know :)
Since I was very young I would often tell everyone I wanted to be an OBGYN. But as I grew older I labelled myself not to be smart enough for medicine. Ended up studying criminology (what a contrast, I know lol) and every science related class or something like forensics just shows me how wrong I was about myself. And anyways... I've been watching you for a while and your excitement with what you're doing quite literally brings me to tears every time, just like I freaking cry whenever I watch any childbirth video. I'm glad you found your calling and I'm happy for you!
I love to see how much you thrive on OB/GYN!! I can’t believe I’ve been watching you since your first week of med school blog and seeing you here now ❤️
Watching how thankful you are to be in medicine is my weekly reminder of why I went into medicine too. I'm a PA and just started in emergency medicine and I'm finally where I wanted to be after the last 2.5yrs of being less than happy with my hospitalist job. Some days are incredibly rough in ED, but there are moments when I see how I've positively effected someone's life that I remember why I love it. I aspire to bring your level of gratitude into my daily life. Thank you for spreading the joy!
It makes me feel really better when you're happily talking about your experiences and innocently trying to explain us what's going on !! Lots of good vibes 😇💕
The only person's video I watch in landscape, Without looking into others videos thumbnails And without getting distracted by anything!! Keep motivating us girllll ❤️ Lots of love 💕 always
This would be a nice break from studying. Been up since 5am, hitting the books and consuming coffee. Can't wait! Love you Rachel, keep up the good work. ❤️
First, keep it up Judith, you can do it! 💙 Second, great vlog! I would be surprised if your face doesn’t ache from all that smiling! I am so happy for you. I recall my own daughter’s birth and a medical student being present. She was so nice and just as excited as you. Her happiness was infectious. She told me that day that her next item on the bucket list was delivering twins. 🤣 It’s years later and it’s crazy to think that young medical student is now a doctor and has no doubt delivered hundreds of babies. What a rewarding occupation!
Awww so nice to see your broadcasts - I didn’t know you existed! I kinda had a down weekend with not feeling well so I kinda went through medical school with you this week- binge watching 😂😂- congrats! Isn’t medicine so awesome ! I’ve been on the teaching end of it for a while and now semi retired! But almost 40 yrs- I was in it- I love your attitude and passion! Looking forward to watching more 🌻
this was one of your best vlogs! Its so encouraging to see how happy medicine/obgyn makes you. I'm a junior in undergrad pre-pa student interested in obgyn and have been feeling really discourged lately (mostly from ochem 🙃) but your vlogs help remind me of why i'm doing this. thank you and keep up your amazing work!
I’m a pre dental student but I love watching your videos! Your passion for OBGYN is very clear and your happiness makes me so happy!! You got me smiling every time you’re explaining how much you love OBGYN. You got this!
I have been following you since 2020 and have been so happy to watch you grow as a human and a (future) doctor, I am sure you will make an amazing OBGYN, Love, A (future) midwife :)
the vlog is very soothing and fun and thank you very very very very very very very very much for giving the shout out to judith this made my week and this means A LOOOT TO HER THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND WORDS 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Seeing your passion and growth in this field is so rad. I have visions of you matching somewhere dreamy to train as an Ob/Gyn and am honestly so excited for you (and for all of us who get to follow along haha). Your joy is infectious :).
queen, i can't even describe how much i love your videos. I'm going to be a freshman in college next year and am on a pre med track. your videos make me so excited for all of the things i have coming in my future!!!
Been following you since your first year and look forward to your videos every week. I’m seriously considering starting a TH-cam channel because I start medical school this year! Your videos are so helpful and give such great insight to life as a med student. Would love to help others like you have helped me! ❤️ Keep being amazing girl!
Seeing you follow your passion is SO contagious!! I am starting my journey in peds as a new grad nurse and I can seriously relate to your excitement and love for the OBGYN field! Love you Rachel!! 💞
HEY RACHEL !! Thank you so much, this made my day. I love your vlogs, I love how you share your emotions with us. We are all here for you and we love to see you happy. You deserve the best ❤❤❤
It makes me so happy to see you happy and makes me look forward to applying to medical school soon! Also, for all your girl fans, if you still do them (and if you have time) could you film maybe a TH-cam short on how you do your lashes and what glue and lashes you use! I know you did them in the past and it prob saves so much time getting ready! Love your videos!
Damn, you're completely different here in OB/GYN than your new speciality. You look like a completely different person here! I do imagine you working in OB/GYN and making so many mommas happy and appreciated ❤️ I've been following you for about a year now and you absolutely taught me to not give up on your dreams. Even though I still have a lot to work on, I wanted to say it really helped me last year and now as well.. And you're such a good person with such a big heart. It makes me happy to know you're also on this planet with all of us other hardworking -students- people that want to help others ❤️
Hi beautiful! I never comment, but I always watch your videos and I just wanted to tell you how thankful I am for you and your channel. The excitement and radiance you have for medicine is just so refreshing and beautiful. Your kindness, personality and hard work inspire me. The field needs more people like you with a genuine love and desire for medicine! You are going to make such an amazing doctor💌
I LOVED this vlog omg!! I feel like I’m your close friend. I’m a pre-med student and I also love ob-gyn and seeing your journey through med school is so motivating and inspiring.
I admire your attitude and hard work! You inspire me so freaking much. I have been very sick the past few days, very unmotivated and zombie mode but I am finally feeling better and needed a little inspiration to kick my ass into gear and when I am feeling like this I always come to watch one of your videos and it reminds me of what WE are working towards. Keep up the good work future Doc! I am just a few years behind ya
I love seeing your excitement! I had a c section 2 days ago and a resident was a huge part of my surgery. I am hopeful that she was as excited and passionate as you. I met her right before they wheeled me into OR and she was so personable and I could hear my OB telling her she did really well as they finished up.
I'm in quarantine with Covid at school. I'm a sophomore pre med and was really not in the mood to do homework/study. You always remind me of what I want my future to be and then I start working hard again :)
Just found your channel this week and I’m so glad I found it! I begin med school this August and your videos get me so excited to start! Thanks for the inspiring work.
Rachel, I've been watching you since your 1st day of your 1st year of medical school, congratulations on having come so far and good luck on Step/COMLEX 2! Some of your most helpful videos for me have been the ones where you explained your workflow for a particular year and commented about the resources you found the most helpful during that year. I would LOVE it if you would do one for your workflow during rotations 3rd year (how many videos you watched, anki cards, questions for COMATS Level 2 prep, etc.) and the resources you found the most useful for each rotation. I'll be starting my clinical rotations in 3 months and I can't wait!
Your enthusiasm and excitement are so sweet and exciting! I love being hands-on and I'm a little jealous I didn't get to do as much as you on my L&D rotation, haha, but I'm so glad you've had such an amazing time. Seeing your passion for this field is so inspiring; I really cannot wait to rotate on the specialties I'm really passionate about after seeing this.
You really do inspire me so much. I’ve been watching your channel for the last few years and now I’m in my last year in high school, and I can’t wait to go to uni and apply to medical school. Thank you so much and I really do appreciate you. And I think you’ll be an amazing doctor.🥺💖 All the way from the Middle East Oman 🇴🇲
I love your videos, i am a premed student myself and your videos definitely help give me hope for medical school, you definitely seem to keep it real on how you feel and the stresses of it. Thank you so much for making these videos
Always love watching your vlogs Rachel. Your energy and passion for the medical profession is contagious. I look to your videos as inspiration for posting my own videos. 😊
