We Americans are so interested in anything European- about the castles(although I grew up on Oahu ,which for a short time had a Monarchy and has some palaces). For the most part, we don't have Castles. And your seascapes look great and are doable.Thanks for your continued instruction, you (and a few other Instrutors here )are a huge help for us beginers.

I completed a hawaiian rendition of your tutorial because that is how I mostly see beaches. But, I used your concept of how to paint whitewash, scale ,composition and some values in my painting. It turned out fine.
The transition from the sea to the sky is fantastic. And also the people who are standing or walking are very good, in terms of size. The color of the sand also. The waves and clouds go nicely in the same direction. This is a very good painting Clive. Love from Holland.
Thank you if done again I would make a larger figure in the foreground but when painting and talking I loose a little concentration but as a lesson I was happy with it people don’t realise it’s not easy to talk explain and paint as we use all parts of the brain at once which takes a lot of concentration

Fantastic Clive. I have been watching a lot of your demos and they have helped me a lot in my paintings. i have Parkinson's in my dominant right hand. I am not teaching my left hand to paint. What is the white liquid you always have in a container at the top right hand of the palette?
Painting helps us overcome it helped my after my stroke keep well and keep,painting the liquid is my medium mix available on my website www.clive5art.co.uk it helps to stop over thinning the paint with water

I do paint the edge yes but not on the lessons as it takes time

When you added the brown background, did you mix it with gesso, turning the gesso brown, or did you add it on top of the already gessoed canvas?
Gesso canvas once then when dry I painted gesso on then added brown to it that keeps the grip on the canvas

Can you have several focal points?
Yes several point are fine just make sure you eye has interest throughout the painting
