In this video you can hear the fantastic sound of two Ferrari 458 italia GTC (which race in the GT2 class). You can hear some loud accelerations, fly bys and lovely downshifts.

When remembering this years LeMans race, it's always a F458 GT2 downshifting into Arnage. This sound will stay forever in my head.

All of them utilizes the same engine. But in 458 GT2, the engine is limited to 6,750rpm, so the final output is only about 465bhp. The 458 GT3 is exactly like the road-going 458, but thanks to air-restrictor, it'll only produce 552bhp, whilst having less aerodynamic efficiency than the 458 GT2, but both of them uses 6-speed sequential box. 458 Challenge is basically a track-day version of 458 Italia, only with road-illegal tires, no comfort, and exhaust as loud as an angry elephant.

Just watched the 488 vid, and aside from the 488 having some sexy sounding turbo flutter, the 458 just obliterates it. HANDS DOWN.

458 GTE obliterates everything. Saw them at spa this year again with the WEC. 488's are quiet as hell compared to the 458. Just insane how loud it is. Even this vid, even though amazing quality, can't capture the sound of this car.
Holy hot damn. can't wait to attend Le Mans this year!!! The team I'm rooting for will be driving this car ;)

So why does it at circuit de la Sarthe, 24 hours of Le Mans, it sounds like here I guess but on some other races it sounds a bit different. It's the same car and GT2 specs no?
I think it's pretty cool how different V8's can sound so different like the Ferrari compared to the Mercedes.
