I heard the 458 with novitec setup in real life. And undoubtedly, this Italian Acoustic guitar on 4 wheels will always be one of the best sounding flatplane V8 ever!

Based on my experience in watching sports car testing on a my local track. . among n/a sports car sound, , 430, 458 is the best, , much more dramatic compares to Lambo V10, V12, , just my personal opinion 😎🤗

This is strange, because it still sounds like a 458, I mean you can recognize it, it wasn't totally consumed by the high pitch like other exhausts... I would want mine to sound like this, however every other video I've watched had a really high pitch sound which I personally don't like on this car... So is this possible that this one is actually like it sounds in the video?
i think yes, because he is using a high quality micripohone the reproduce the sound quite nice.
I agree, not a fan of the mostly high pitched aftermarket exhausts for the 458. I daily drive a 458 spider and have had the Ferrari sport exhaust from the factory, an IPE setup with Cat deletes, and now a Frequency Intelligent (FI) rear box with the Ferrari downpipes. Novitec is nice, but I might argue the overall sound with the FI is even better, and while still keeping the factory Cats and not having too strong of a gasoline smell that entails like I had with the IPE. The factory sport exhaust is super quiet below 3000 RPM and the off/on valve switch at that range sounds weird to me. IPE sounded good in the old F1 kind of way but excelled at the highest RPM ranges only, and you don't want to be driving around like that all the time. With the FI setup I can be pulling out from a light with the valves open and give it a quick rev in the low RPM ranges which still gives an awesome deep grumble. No matter what, one of the best sounding V8's ever!

It's loud, and it's high pitched, but it's very monotonous. None of the intervals, overtones, or harmonics that you get with a V6, V10, or V12 (or even a cross-plane V8). I can understand why some people like it (just as some like the Honda S2000), but the sound just isn't for me. 🤷♂️

@Tim Comer , I can hear how it sounds, but it's very bland. The intake/exhaust note doesn't really change across the rev band.
It sounds much more special in person. Especially in the cabin. The driving experience is quite amazing too.
