Honda CB 500T first ride

  • I've been pottering about with this low miles 500T between doing my Kz and waiting for parts to arrive and it's made a really pretty bike from a not too promising first appearance with an odd fairing and bars to match...err...or not.
The actual bike its actually in great health so I took it for a spin the other day.
This is the first film I've done on my GoPro and it seems to deliver great results though I'm still learning how to get the best from it...so any faults are mine and not the gear.
Hope you enjoy it just the same.

I have a brown version in Ontario Canada and I love this bike! I bought one in 1977 and sold it when l needed a car for college…wished I kept it. Bought my second one in 2020 and enjoy it immensely ! It is a light city cruiser and not designed for racing..enjoy the ride and keep the racing machines for the track ! Thanks for the great video.

Great job.....you do make these old bikes look the part. I like the standard look. Japanese bikes in this era had great styling. Even the bikes that were considered ugly at the time actually look great in 2021.

I enjoyed your review from start to finish. Told exactly like it is. Good job sir.

This was the bike (well, the 450) I lusted after in high school. The engine is so beefy and just purty to look at. I agree about

Looking at buying the brown version I’ve found one locally seems like a solid motorcycle, thanks for the video

Mine 500T has been off the road a few years, this really got me wishing I had everything together enough to put it back on the road and get out there. In the meantime I'll work on getting the cash together. I know what I want to do, just need to make it happen, not always so easy when life gets in the way.

I totally agree with you on the 500T. I’ve got 2 450s and a 500T (No, I don’t have more bikes) and I prefer the 450 in almost any aspect. Although it’s basically the same engine, the character changed significantly IMO as they increased the stroke and added that weird exhaust connector.

Is vibration really bad on these? From what I've heard! Your opinion!

Looks fantastic , I remember when they first came out and they didn't cause much of a stir then but looking at it now its much smarter than a lot of the plasticky new machines.
