    Awesome, I was yet to see a review mentioning how well they can fit under regular/straight fit jeans until I found this! Thanks for taking the time to review.

      I’ve not made a video in a few years. Just wasn’t my thing. I tried to reply to every comment, but after so long, TH-cam stopped sending me comment notifications…. I apologize. I got on here to delete my channel and just saw the comments. Again, i apologize.
      I get it. That was a big factor for me when I was retiring to the road.
      I guess it’s a personal preference, but that was one I needed.

      Sorry to hear about youtube messing you around, and I honestly wasn't expecting a reply but thank you for repsonding!
      I did end up going for a sportier alpinestars boot since the internal lacing moulds to my foot better than the Sidis, but nevertheless your video was an excellent resouce.

    In the market for new boots and I'm always concerned about long term durability, so this helped a lot. Thanks from Germany and safe riding

    Thanks.

    Thanks for posting. I’ve got a new pair that the left one “clicks” so I’ll try your remedy! Good luck with your pants!

      Lol. They couldn’t be saved. Yea, take a look at that screw catching it. I hope that’s all it is and you get it taken care of. I love my boots. They are still going strong! Well, they are getting a little worn on the soles, but I’ve probably gotten 150K miles on them.
      Good luck!

    I bought my 1st pair 2 years ago, and I agree with all your points.
    I personally feel more protected than my Gaerne Oils or my TCX Drifter's. I like my Sidi's enough that I just bought the Adventure 2 Mid's.
    We'll see how those feel after break in.
    Good honest review

      I’ve used many boots in my time. Gaerne’s, etc…. But I’m still using these same Sidi’s !!! I’ve logged probably 150k on them…. They have their issues, but they will always be my choice. At least until they change.
      Thank you for the support and comment.

    How much ankle protection are we talking about? Right now I have crushed left ankle from a 660 lb. Harley! I’m looking for something that can help protect me from another ankle injury. ALL THE GEAR ALL THE TIME! Runnin’ to the store in tennis shoes is a dangerous habit. Thanks a lot for the review!

      Hate to hear that brother.
      These do pretty well. They are by no means motocross boots. That might be what you could check out. They are extremely supportive, but stiff. I used Gaerne’s on my dirt bikes.

    Hello, I am using Vespa gts. I want to buy this boat. Because it will protect my shins in case of an accident. Did I get right? In which season can I wear it? I do not use a scooter in rain and snowy weather. In rainless, hot or cold weather. But I use it especially between May and September. In my country, the temperature between May and September is between 25 and 40 degrees. Do you think summer heat will be a problem with this boot? Is it a problem to have it on my feet in winter or cold months? Will it be a problem for the scooter? What is the difference between suede and leather models? Is the leather model safer and warmer? Thanks

    Interesting, I also got the pop sound with mine. I'll try what you did with the screw to see if the sound goes away.

      I really like the boots, but that popping drove me crazy. Let me know if that was the same issue with yours. Hope it helps.

      @@1leftadventures258 I'll let you know once i find a suitable washer around. Until then i've loosened it just a smidge and it's already less pronounced of a "POP" each time i walk. Interestingly, it seems to be the same side (right leg) as you.

    Good, honest, straight forward, no BS review--thanks for that! What I'm curious about is A) how does the suede or rough-out portion hold up and B) what do you clean that part with?

    • @1leftadventures258
      @1leftadventures258  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks Ray! Too be honest, I’m on the bike almost continuously. I really don’t clean them other than a quick brushing with my chain brush. Lol.
      As for holding up, I’ve probably got 70k miles on these boots now and they are still going strong! I have no regrets!
      Hope it helps!
      Take care and safe Adventures.

      Thanks “superfunk….” Lol.
      It’s been a long time and many many miles since that video, but the boots are still going strong! Losing a little tread but still holding the pegs 👍.
      Sorry for the late reply. I no longer make videos and don’t check for comments often enough.
      Take care and have great adventures.

    Thanks for the video, I will be changing my boots in a future. The boots I have today has shoe laces and from what I understand that’s not optimal. I try to stuck them back inside the boots after tying but another type of boots probably will be better.

    • @1leftadventures258
      @1leftadventures258  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For sure. If I’m just riding to get groceries or something, a lot of times I’ll just wear tennis shoes. But if I’m going to be doing anything more, it’s the boots. They also inspire confidence. When standing, they are more rigid and seems easier to weight the pegs.
      Anyway, I hope you find a boot you like. Thanks for watching.
      Chad.

    • @JoonesAdventuresMC
      @JoonesAdventuresMC 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1leftadventures258 The boots I have are TCX X-Blend WP, so they are at least riding boots, but I have heard of someone who got stuck with his shoelace in the "peg" on the side stand and fell with the bike. Thats my biggest concern with the shoelace. Its not a big risk but still a risk that can be eliminated.

    • @1leftadventures258
      @1leftadventures258  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep. I agree. I’d ridden for years with lace up boots. I feel with the laces secured, it’s fine for street riding. If you do some off road, good adventure boots really helps. Plus the peace of mind is worth it as well. With screws in my ankle, it’s always on my mind. Boots that stabilize it really helps my confidence.

    Thanks for the honest review in times where almost everything is paid promotion! Did you have any falls in them? They seem to have quite some flex despite the joint, how is protection against twisting ankle?

    • @1leftadventures258
      @1leftadventures258  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for comment! I really like these boots. Yes, I’ve had a few falls in them. The vertical flex is plenty, and there’s hardly any twisting flex. Which is really great because my ankle is held together with screws, they help my confidence. The shin protector has paid off many times with hitting the pegs and rocks kicking up.
      If you try a pair out, let me know how you feel. Take care and enjoy the adventures.

    If your planning on doing more videos would you set the music volume at the same level as your voice . The music is blasting so people have to turn it down then you have to turn back up the volume to hear you then back down again because of the music being so loud at the end .

    • @1leftadventures258

      Will do. Thanks for letting me know. I’ve been told that before and I turned it down. I’ll lower it even more.
