You can project a sketched curve onto a model face to create a 3D curve. You can also create a 3D curve that represents the intersection of two extruded surfaces generated by creating sketches on two intersecting planes.

thought I was in trouble when wrap feature didnt like non-parrallel faces. Thanks very much for the tutorial!
This is a great tutorial. Not to much information, but still some extra's. It is very clear and I did it right on the first try! (which is very rare for me). Thanks!
Great feature and great tutorial. Thank you for posting!
How do you cut out the inside of the projected lines. I have a compound curve but I want to deboss it. Half an mm
Hi, I have a similar thing I want to do except it's projecting the 3-d surface onto a flat plane. Say you wanted to make a label to go within that emboss you just created, obviously its going to start out flat. How do you project that surface so the dimensions of the label will be correct?
Is it possible to do this on a face that has been produced with a lofted boss?I cannot seem to get it to work.
OK. Got it working. It doesn't like to project too many shapes / lines at once. Does it need to be just one closed shape? I will play around and investigate.
Holy shit that helped so much, thank you very much!
Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for.
great video!
thank you
