was looking for this for 2 weeks and couldnt find what i needed, then today i got this video as suggestion... thank you
Sweet! Thank you for this! I had no idea what I was doing or what I needed to do until I saw this.
Great Vid - thanks for the help, and for not making it unnecessarily long!!
Simple, concise! Thank you!
Exactly what I needed! Thank you
Great video, exactly what I needed to complete my design. Thank you.
Amazing, thank you 8 yrs later! 😊
Man you are a lifesaver! Great video
You are the man, good explanations
Nice job, thank you very much for the Video. Keep them coming...:)
THANKS, very useful and swift
Hi, regarding you your video @4:39. Do you have a more detailed how to video on the creating a heat exchanger? I've put together some "garage" heat exchangers (in SolidWorks) using copper tube as liquid transport & aluminum as exchange medium, but I've always wanted to create a machined or even 3D printed version in aluminum. With simulation comes efficiency! THanks!
very helpful!!!
Thanks...That helps a lot
Can you do this with Alibre?
Nice work !
Great presentation...thank you
you da real mvp
Thank you bro
Wow thank you so much!
Thanks for your man
Can you wrap a spline onto a cylinder? I need to make a sweep cut on a cylinder. In other words, I need to make a crazy swept cut on a cylinder with a specific cut profile. Not just a offset Sketch closed profile cut.
THANK YOU SIR
thanks...
Can this be done on a spherical shape
Yes, same procedure. If you have any trouble, you can toggle between analytical wrap and spline surface wrap on versions 2017+ and it should work on just about any NURBS surface where the wrap doesn't self-intersect
@@JokoEngineeringhelp thanks yes thats what i did and it worked
Hi, we can do that but with a svg file like a logo ?
Thanks...really helped!
Great video and thanks, I have one question, can you wrap more than one sketch (wrap at the same time), for example, instead of letter K only, you put two letters like K and L? Thank you, hoping for a positive reply.
Life saver
Thanks you..
Hey joko, is there a way for me to sketch along a surface?. For example, I'm designing a sidepod for a racecar and I want to perform a pierce/coincident relation from an edge to a surface I lofted. Is that possible?
You would probably be interested in surface splines and 3D sketches. I don't have a video specifically on that, but this might help th-cam.com/video/yBGaTpYEazo/w-d-xo.html
can the same idea be applied if I'm creating a tire tread pattern (scale model)?
Yes
i can't get it to work. is there any difference if there are diffrent shapes stacked on top of anohter, like not one solid part/shape?
Yes unfortunately. The wrap function is limited to a single surface or tangent surfaces
how can i do it
Is this possible in Freecad?
It is. In FreeCAD 0.19 read up on a function called 'project' in the part workbench
@@JokoEngineeringhelp Great thank you
Is that not working if part is made with loft?
Hi Mechl, version 2017 and later should have the wrap function work with a loft. You may need to toggle the type of wrap between analytical and spline surface. You may also need to go more thick or thin depending on the kind of wrap you're doing.
Thank you very much
view - display - tangent edges visible if you cant see the sketch when scribed
I get an error message saying cannot wrap on open/intersecting contours.
Guess it doesn't work with cursive.
Can you send a screenshot to the email in the description? It may be able to work.
@@JokoEngineeringhelp Was this question ever resolved? I have the same issue.
@@iraseidman2706 Not on my end. If you're able to send me a screenshot or something I may be able to help. It can't wrap if the lines cross though
How can you wrap a shape on a loft? It don't let me
The best bet is to switch between analytic and surface wrap
hello , can i send you a pic ..i want an opinion on extruding boss from curved face..thanks
