Good Times dealt with REAL issues in a comical way! I laughed and cried through most episodes. As a child, I learned a lot from watching Good Times because my mom didn’t talk to us about a lot of things. All the actors of Good Times are so iconic, and they all deserve so much more recognition. Happy 50th Anniversary Good Times!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤😊😂😊😂😂😊❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Met Bern Nadette Stanis years ago when she and my husband performed at the same event being hosted by one of my sister's friend. Posed for a photo with her which I still have to this day. She looked gorgeous.
He was playing a teenager in Caprini Green. What's stereotypical about that? Btw, the whole damn show was a stereotype...that's why we loved it! Stereotypes can be true you know. The buffoon element from you is trash
Jimmie looks good. He has been much maligned over the years, but JJ was a huge part of the show. If John and Esther had been willing to share more limelight, the show could have had a much longer run.
Exactly! He’s grown to look as much of a clown as he really is, with his selfishness and revisionist mind. What he WON’T talk about is how he was the key source of John Amos’ frustration with the show, ultimately leading to his firing. This CLOWN even had the nerve to say in a past interview that Bernadette Stanis should have leveraged her looks and sex appeal for greater stardom. No, CLOWN! - some people have dignity, morals and standards and refuse to compromise them for any amount. You (obviously) are not one of them.
@@wftyler9680 if he was a *clown* he'd have been promoted and made it big time in the industry. He's very intelligent and always was. Marion Ross and Tom Bosley could adjust to the rise of the Fonze. John and Esther were so stuck on being 'social justice warriors' that they could not deal with the popularity (and comic element) of JJ. You are a backwards thinker. You want to keep Bernadette poor. She could have achieved mega stardom like Farah Fawcett, and Farah parlayed her success into other roles, some were serious roles. But you don't want Bernadette to be successful, you'd rather that she stay small-time to conform to your beliefs in 'dignity' and 'morals'. It's show business and a bikini poster is not undignified or immoral.
J.J. & Michael looks horrible. They haven't aged well and look as if they're in their 80's. Thelma still looks gorgeous at the age of 70 years old, born in 1953. I was born in 1955 and I am 68 years old and I look much younger than Jimmy Walker and Ralph Carter.
@@jasondawson92 jj is 76. Thelma is 70. Michael is 62. The Dad is 84 ....so to me they all look good and I'm just happy they are all still here with us
Jimmie Walker, Bernadette Stanis, and Ralph Carter all look great!!!! Happy 50th anniversary of Good Times. Love!! this show.
Stop lying
@@TheloniousJackson😂😂
@@shawnburks6362you ain't right, Shawn 😂

They'll think we're Fatman & Robin that's my favorite JJ line
That was the best. It seems so natural a line!
Happy 50th anniversary Good times!!! JJ is a Legend and apart of history!!!
Jimmie Walker don't look bad at all, he's almost 77 years old. Go JJ!! 😀
He does look alot better since he has new teeth
Holy sh!t! Hard to believe Jimmy Walker is pushing 80!

Great cast great actors great show they were all great! Some may not agree but a lot of the music you hear was inspired by Good Times. 👑

Happy 50 Good Times Love the show still watch it best show ever❤️❤️🎊
Dynomite!!!! Love him on Good Times. Great actor, glad they are all together to tell the story.
RIP John Amos ❤
"Dynomite"!! The casanova of the ghetto. J.J. Evans.
JJ made this show. He was charming and funny and kept the show light hearted. He was not a baffoon like these actors today.

Johnny Brown was funny. One of my favorite standup comics in the 60s and 70s.
We love yall legends, Good Times will always be my favorite show, and it was before my time 🙌🏽 Bernadette aka Thelma my idol 💕👑💪🏾🙏🏽
Crazy the dad and jj are only a few years apart in age
The guy that took the pie!!😅
He slim again
Yeah. Glad someone mentioned it. He looks healthier now.
I hope it's for the right reason and not because he's sick not trying to be negative just saying.
@@katiebryant8915 yeah. I agree. Let’s hope the reason for the weight loss is because he’s in good health.
wow this is the first time he actually looks his age, 76. I always thought he looked young as he aged. love Jimmie!
Jimmie Walker is a walking history book of behind-the-scenes TV stories. Check out his "Television archives interviews," you won't be disappointed.
Think big was one of the slogans of one of my old elementary schools that I attended.
0:58 That painting is amazing. It captures the essence of the era. Who the heck painted it?
Jimmie Walker!
The GOAT!
He may have played a stereotypical buffoon but he was definately a part of tv history.
Be nice
How was being a brother in a family makes him that

Open yo eyes, JJ.
bernadette stanis...still so beautiful...and she DID grow up in the projects.....Brownsville, Brooklyn
I thought Bed-Sty do or die
Jimmie grew up in the projects too.
JJ was solid 👍
Omg, did he lose weight? Good for him, I’m sure his knees are thankful.
Jimmie looks good. He has been much maligned over the years, but JJ was a huge part of the show. If John and Esther had been willing to share more limelight, the show could have had a much longer run.
If it wasn't a J.J the show would be boring....so in other words he made the show great!
true. He was some relief from Lear's tired 'social message' stuff.
Legend in his own mind! That's why he never did ANYTHING after good times but small comedy clubs.

Jimmie Walker was very overweight at one time, but it is good to see him trim down.
Repent JJ believe the gospel.
Romans 10:9-13
1 John 1:9
Bookman know that he was one SORRY character....😂
H acted a fool
Look like JJ lost some weight, he almost look like his past skinny self again.
He wasnt just funny. He was so weird and awkward. But Esther and John reportedly resented him because of his fame.
He had issues selfish
I always thought that a person looks suppose to get better with age.
Jimmy walker is ignorant that why he never got back on tv
he's very intelligent. He's too uppity for the industry.
