Another stellar demo (even being in recovery of virus attack) your precise description of every step is clear and edifying. Thank you for sharing, learn something new every video of yours I watch😊
Haven't watched live yet, but you're videos are the best I have seen. I am totally a babe in the woods. I worked at this for two/three years and had to give it up for several years. Ready to get back to it......
I keep missing you live but I really like how you explain your painting process…and you seem very patient. I plan to watch for more of your videos…or watch you live.😊 (Nancy from New Mexico)
I've seen this video a few times because I keep trying to recreate this using different papers, and I just now caught the tip about using masking tape to lift off the masking fluid! It works so well it's life-changing lol I so far hadn't figured out a good way to do that other than rubbing/rolling it with my finger which was hard to do. Your videos are full of knowledge, thank you
what an amazing demo! so very grateful. you have such an amazing style.. Unfortunately I can't join the livestream as I am in Calgary (where it is -34C tonight Brrr) I am always driving at 8:00! One think I'd love to learn is how to make the path seem like it is lower than the snow field. If you do another workshop could you spend a few minutes on that please.
I bought in bulk at Uline but that’s a LOT of gaterboard for one person. I suggest either DeSerres or Above Ground Art Supplies. I think they call it ‘watercolour board’
Do you staple your wet paper to the plywood and then wait for it to dry before taping the paper to the board? I was taught to tape the paper to the board and then wet the paper and allow it to dry. However the tape often comes loose from my paper, allowing paint to seep into the border and allowing the paper to buckle- very frustrating!!

I so appreciate the detail of your explanations.
I have a photo of a Red barn reflected in a pond with trees. It's complex, but thanks to your instructions, I will try to paint it. Thank you Shelley.

Hello from Bottesford, UK
GOOD MORNING FROM MICHELEIN FORKS WA, I NEED I REMINDER OF HOW TO COLOR THE MASKING FLUID. THANK YOU
Few drops of cobalt blue
How is Dr. Martin Bleedproof White different from Titanium or Chinese White?
It seems to cover best for me. The colours underneath don’t bleed through the white.
GOOD MORNING SHELLY FROM MICHELE IN FORKS WA. I NEED A REMINDER OF HOW TO COLOR THE MASKING FLUID.
Cobalt blue - just a couple of drops
Where do you buy your gator/watercolour board? I live in your neck of the woods.

The staples hold wet paper best for sure. Tape doesn’t stick to wet paper so I only apply masking tape after it’s fully dry.
