it was completely overshadowed by more pressing issues relative to its introduction in the deputy shinigami arc, soul society coming to take rukia, aizen, fullbringers, yhwach, etc
mm i just noticed. When you commented that orihime cannot heal yuzuru because she had the chain, thats hella foreshadowing actually! Orihimes power is a directly from the soulking. Thats why she can bend rules that defy the law = she has partial control of reality cause the soul king maintains that same reality. When Juha Bach broke ichigos blade, she could not change its reality, because Juha was the current soul king and it required a diferent workaround to recover the weapon by not changing the present reality, but by changing the past and then the present (with tsukishima). The soulking is not linked to hell, it has no powers over it, therefore Orihime cannot change the laws of hell, therefore she cannot remove the chain from anyone nor change the state of a person with a chain as theyre existence is part of hell.
It is the 1 real in the Buddhist/Hindu Cycle of Samsara not to get much focus on in Bleach. Human World, World of Gods (Soul Society) & Hungry Ghost Realm (Hueco Mundo) got the most attention, but the Asura Realm (Silbern) was the focus of the last arc. Beast Realm was a part of Komamura's origin & is probably where Reverse London is located.
I never thought that the the hell movie was canon because the whole timeline is fucked like how does he still have his powers after he defeated Aizen? It’s a good popcorn film but thats about it
It's interesting how hell is it's own game per say, and how it's effects can unsurprisingly have negative consequences regardless if one is a sinner from life or not. Since most of what is known comes from Shinigami sources that are essentially sugar coated lies it makes one wonder what else hasn't been said and will become problematic, especially with hell's forces trying to barge into the real world. We are in for quite the ride for sure.

Of course it will, Tite probably couldn't deal with the constant pestering of stans and he managed to get funding and support back behind bleach so he could continue so he's gonna deliver a satisfying conclusion to bleach 😉

The movie production was fire But the story is meh , I mean they haven't listened to Kubo ideas and that was disappointed , only the first movie and the 3rd were good . I'm watching the vid right now , love you narrative skills

Kokuto was a pretty good antagonist. He was cunning and manipulative and ruthless in achieving his goals, but his backstory makes him sympathetic. I wouldn't mind Kubo making him Canon in the Hell arc, though anyone who seen the Hellverse film will know the twist about him.
we don’t have to think much about the canonicity as it doesn’t fit in the timeline at all lol its probably in an alternate universe or rather an alternate timeline as we already have multiple universes in bleach
Another reason why this movie is one of my favorites of Bleach is Kokuto. The guy had a very sad backstory, he got his sister murdered (the movie implies that the killers were Shuren and his group) and after having his revenge, he was cast into hell because he murdered them and he was destined to live and be considered as evil as the murderers of his sister for all his eternity.
The fact that any mortal who dies in hell automatically gets stuck there, might suggest that every mortal is a sinner. And that being passed on to hell or not depends on judgement. Perhaps shinigami used to cast sinners to hell.
Cannon is such a weird western concept. The creator made it. That’s literally all that matters. It’s still nice to see any concepts/stories/art in the bleach universes. The people that care so much about cannon are the same that argue about imaginary what if fights.
Tite Kubo speaks of the movies in their different universe as in a multiverse. He spoke that way when the second movie Fade To Black came out. Even in the first movie that is the only canon movie, he said Senna was the daughter of Renji and Rukia from an alternative timeline. Yes, that never happened but it was the original idea for the movie that was never used. We could see that someday if he wants to. The Hell movie isn't canon because it doesn't fit the timeline. The one shot manga prologue for Hell that Kubo did for the movie could be canon and we could see those characters come back in the Howl From The Jaws Of Hell Arc as a small cameo and nod to that one shot in the real canon as the rest of the movie events didn't happened in canon. In a databook he said the Hell dimension in Bleach is a multiverse as in each floor been its own universe. That was not shown in the movie. Even in Bleach Brave Souls we have different alternative universes so we could see that as the next arc after the Hell arc that is coming to the manga if Kubo really wants to.

Kubo said in an interview that he wanted his name removed cuz he didn't feel like he did enough to have credit. I wouldn't consider it cannon.
I like the movie a lot.
Of course i'd look forward very much to what Kubo could create for us, but i'd consider this movie an 8/10 appetizer.

I personally believe Kubo will incorporate at least some of the ideas from hellverse but at the end of the day we'll just have to wait and see
I think the layers and the chain of fate stuff will be carried over. I think the new characters and the Kusinada will be exclusive to the movie
