Osho says "watch the thoughts", "be the witness of your thoughts" and things like that. How should I watch the thought? Shall I use some mental voices like "Are there thoughts?" , "Am I identified or watching?" "What does my mind say now?" Or should I simply watch without any mental commentary?

I completely agree with Osho, meditation is for sure a very simple phenomenon, and even a natural phenomenon. I can even testimony about it. The very first time I was in meditation, i did it voluntarily after I caught a violent gastroenteritis who manifested on the subway on my way back to home. I suffered so much I told myself I have to calm down and find a way to wait during one more hour before I come back. I reached meditation in that state with the noise around me and with many people around and then, I was still meditating while I was walking on the street. I was no suffering at all with an undisturbed tranquility, with the feeling of powerfulness that nothing can happen to me. Then, i lost the meditating state but I still remembered this moment until I watch this video. As a wiccan, we have a lot of similarities and I am happy someone like Osho told all these truth about meditation, every people can do it but the way of being in the situation to do it isn't open to anybody.

@@magicalvideoclips9285 Awareness and attention are two different things. In technological terms, you can think of awareness as a server that must not be shut down at any cost. It must run 24/7. But paying attention to something like solving a math problem can be compared to a client trying to connect to the server. It will stay connected for a while, and then disconnect on it's own. But the server must remain still. Even while I'm typing this, I'm watching my breath at the background, it's not attention, it's awareness. So, I can continue to do whatever I want but it won't affect my awareness. :)

as i realize it , when osho says be what he means is dont be .
this sound philosophical , but see it :
when you are without any thoughts without any doing inside you , without any interference , when everythinhg is setteled . when the YOU is not anymore , then the real start emerging . because at that time you find , you are not what YOU are , and what you think you are , just give it a try , test it for yourself

Do not try to control your thinking, you cannot control your thoughts, all you can do is let them go, let them pass by like clouds drifting by in the sky. You don't have to grap the cloud and pull it down and twist and turn it :-) If you have a worry the thought may return to you many times. Just let it come as many times as it wants, and let it go again. Meditation is in it's essence focused and spacious awareness.

They actually found that intelligent children often didn't have a better brain then avarage children, but that they simply only used the NECESSARY brainparts for a specific task. I think that meditation can help you in a lot of ways, including learning how to shut off certain brain areas when they are not necessary to complete tasks more effectively.

Osho can meditate while he speaks while most people can't do it alone in silence.. being centered is easy but takes practice to get used to and become consistent. They can experience meditative moments but not very long ones. Some dedication is necessary to reach greater potential in meditation like Osho.

True meditation there’s no mastering of meditation that’s play of the conditioned mind there’s no freedom. When come upon truth mind is empty of ego-self there is no meditator only pure perception, which is love, compassion, intelligence & that’s when real meditation begins then there’s a never ending learning about ourselves & humanity 💓!

The way I see it, meditation should be made of three parts:
    1. Silence: which in essence is "pulling the breaks" on thoughts that are negative, useless, distracting, clogging etc, to clear the mind.
    2. Contemplation: having something to contemplate on in the meditative state so that you can find your own insights on it.
    3. Action:
I believe that some of those that only talk about "silence", want you to clear your mind of all thoughts that contradict the ones that THEY want you to believe.
