Hello whale, Great video of the tawd parkrun, we do the run there most weekends ourselves then enjoy a breakfast in the Womble cafe in the concourse, you should try that next time your there, we are trying to get a freind of ours to tackle his first parkrun at tawd soon and although he’s shaped like a sealion rather than a whale hopefully your great video should motivate him👍🏻
Haha amazing comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and we will definitely park more appropriately to give us time for a café visit next time. I hope this helps give your friend a push to do the parkrun with you, the laughs alone are worth all the climbs.
I’ve done this one several times as it’s somewhat local to me. It’s one of my favourite ones to do, I like the elevation change, scenery and great facilities all round. I was also at the 200th event!
It's a great one to be close to. I'll definately be back when I've shed a few lbs to try improve on my performance up thr hills lol It was a great morning, hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and thanks for watching 😊
Wow!! I've not seen a Parkrun like this before. It looked really tough but so beautiful with the Autumn colours 🍂 This one seems really unique. Loved it as always and was cracking up in the intro 🤣🤣🤣
Haha cheers Dean . Yeah this was an unusual one to run. It was funny how quickly we went from shopping centre to trail and leaves on the ground. A good little find from Sister Mandy this one 😊
Well done to the both of you. It did look a tough one, but the result was you sounded the same as I felt on my run this morning. I have seen Marks video too, and to be fair to him, I probably would have thought I'd run straight off the route on this one too. Its mad to be running through a housing estate. You almost expect there to be a u-turn around a Nissan Micra somewhere. Great running as always!
Cheers pal. I'd said on the way over I needed to get a drink before we start and then forgot until it was too late. Had nothing in the tank but loved it all the same. Yeah it's an unusual course, but really enjoyable. Although a u-turn around a micra sounds like a solid suggestion 🤣🤣
Thank you. I expected a huge number but according to my garmin only 269ft. It honestly felt like more but I've not really done much of the hills of late so anything over 2% feels like I'm towing a car!
Im the guy in yellow you chased down in the big downhill stretch in the middle. Good bit of back and forth between us but it looks like you didnt leave enough in your tank for the uphill sections on the last 2k😂
Yeah it was a surprising course. Flippin hill surprised me haha! Cake day needs to catch on though I'll be paying for it now for the next couple of hours 🤣🤣
Cheers to you both. What a lovely parkrun, packed with character, autumn colours and a few hills. Don't ever apologise about walking during a parkrun. It did look rather challenging so 26 mins is awesome. 👏🏼👏🏼 The team at Tawd Valley sound like a happy, crazy, friendly bunch. I'm sure they'll appreciate the video because it was a great advert for their event. Ps. We need to know, did you get cake?
Haha cheers Colin. It was a cracking place, one that a little bit fitter Craig wouldn't mind attending again. There was cake but it was in limited supply and so we made a cheeky purchase before setting off 😉 haha
Thanks for the shout out! Lovely to meet you both. Fab video. His name is Justin, but he doesn’t reckon he told you his name so it’s not your memory going 😂. Look forward to the next video 😃
Aww thank you, that makes me feel loads better. I get washed up in all the excitement on parkrun/cake day and forget half of what'd gone on 🤣 I should carry a 📝 with me haha. Glad you enjoyed the video xx
Well done Craig (and Mandy), did Mandy manage to stay with the 40 minute pacer? I’ve done TV twice, first time I came 9th but it was a quiet one (only 34 people). It’s a funny old course, the housing estate makes you wonder where you’re going😂
Cheers Andy. She was out a little but we're letting her off with it being a challenging course. 34 runners would have terrified me, I can get lost so easy. 9th still impressive for it though!

Well done. One of the most varied and interesting Parkrun routes I've seen. What was the total ascent? Looked tough.
Thank you. I expected a huge number but according to my garmin only 269ft. It honestly felt like more but I've not really done much of the hills of late so anything over 2% feels like I'm towing a car!

Haha amazing. Yeah, I had zero idea what was coming (knowing it was out and back 🤦) and got way too giddy. Well done you 👏 A worthy opponent lol 😆
I wasn't expecting such nice scenery after meeting up outside the shopping centre 😅 I think Cake Day might catch on though 😁👍
