- Hey guys! How would my Korean Lola and Tito react to my favorite instant Filipino noodles Pancit Canton? Haha! My cousin Harry already has tried it a long time ago, and me and sister as well. Well, me and my sister was almost a Pancit Canton mania, lol. I hope you guys enjoy this video!

When I studied in the Philippines, my friends would dragged me to these stalls with student COMBO MEAL inside the university. It comes with egg or bread I guess, missed those days with friends.

Mixing the sauces first is the most logical way, actually. Because sometimes the powder gets hardened or chunky that it’s hard to evenly distribute without the oil and soy sauce. I’ve been doing it based on my trial and error experiences. Lol

Actually you can cook the veggies separately then add it later on your Pancit Canton to make it healthier.
Growing up, I have been eating Lucky Me Pancit Canton every now and then, and the things I learned when cooking it are:
1. Never overcook the noodles and drain them very well.
2. Pre-mix all the seasonings, powder and oil while the noodles are still being cooked.
3. Mix the noodles and seasonings right away.
4. Don't let it sit on for too long. Eat it while it's hot.

I guess it's okay to put the sauces after preparing the noodles, but it would be better to prepare the sauces first cuz one of them acts as an emulsifier to mix all of them together better
Same, kasi yung ginagawa ko dati yng "semento halo method", nabubuo siya sa ilalim, kapag ginagawa ko itong buhos tska halo method, mas kumakalat at even yung sauce, oil at powder.

4:27 I also don't mix the powder and the two liquid first. Actually we have the same process of mixing it hahaha
Filipino amateur cook here. If you think about it, it kinda makes sense for the powder to be mixed in with the oil and the liquid seasoning first before adding the noodles in. You'd get a more even taste throughout all of the noodles if you mix the powder and the liquids first since it wouldn't clump together in one specific area of the noodles, so the taste would be distributed properly. Try mixing the powder with the liquid first if you've ever experienced having very little taste in the other noodles (usually this happens on the first few bites you eat or the last few bites, it depends on where the seasoning was focused).
Also, a personal tip. Everytime I cook pancit canton, after draining the noodles, I actually cook the seasoning a bit in the same pan that the noodles were cooked in. This works extremely well for large batches of pancit canton too. Heating up the liquids for a few seconds and properly dissolving the powder helps extract better flavor, then I put the noodles in after turning off the heat. You'll see how well the sauce coats the noodles when you do this.
Lastly, if you're experiencing the issue of the oil solidifying, you can heat up the packet in the boiling water. Boiling water isn't hot enough to destroy the particular plastic used in the packets and it wouldn't release any bad plastic toxins in your food.

Leaving 1 or 2 table spoon it requires a 1 more minute of medium fire so the sauce will get thick, its called so saucy pancit canton. Its very yummy when you apllied it on extra hot flavor the method will give more spiece to it. Fan from 🇵🇭 ❤️❤️🔥

3 Best Ways to Eat Pancit Canton (that i know of):
1. Pancit Canton with Pandesal and Coffee, sometimes they make the pancit as the palaman to make you fuller
2. Pancit Canton with Boiled Egg, sometimes they add rice- making the pancit and egg their ulam
3. Pancit Canton with Cheese- this is like the fine dining version of Pancit Canton hahahaha it makes it richer in flavor

Everytime when we're going to our classmate's house to make school project, Pancit Canton is always present HAHAHAH because it's cheaper and very tasty.❤️❤️
Pastillas is usually a hand made dessert made by moms that's why it is sold by students in their classrooms to earn extra money. Pancit Canton is best paired with hot pandesal and is best eaten when you put the Pancit Canton between the pandesal. Let your family try barako which is basically coffee grounds that you need to brew either that from Batangas but best are the ones here from the cordillera which is a region in the Philippines.
