I love the part where he sings “Why don’t you give love one more chance...give love, give love, give love”, and then just melts into the next lines. Absolutely brilliant!
Unfortunately rather than ask permission Vanilla Ice added an extra beat and then got sued for copyright infringement. Would've been cheaper to pay the royalties like MC Hammer did for "Can't Touch This" where he used Rick James' "Super Freak" baseline. Lol always better to do things the right way.

"Clean and innocent musical artists?” Do you know ANYTHING about Freddie Mercury and David Bowie? Ground breaking, brilliant, game-changing artists, yes. But "clean and innocent?"
Same thing happened when He used "Play That Funky Music" He got got sued by the original artist and lost what always got me was when he tried to say that he didn't steal the bassline from song and tried to say based on one minor sound effect in the riff, that it was a different bassline Which proved to be really insignificant, seeing as he'd lost the suit to Queen & had to pay them Royalties
Great reaction. All time classic song. Great job to whoever put these video clips together. Freddie and David unfortunately never performed this together live. Clips of Freddy in yellow jacket are from 1986 Wembley concert. Clips of Bowie in blue shirt green jacket is from the memorial concert for Freddy. David is performing this song with Annie Lennox, her singing Freddy's parts. Thanks.
David Bowie was my first celebrity crush. I was probably around 7 and just finished watching the movie Labyrinth where he portrayed the villainous Goblin King. He is one of the reasons I got into music as a kid. I cried when he died.
