It's great HLG updated this fixture, but I'm disappointed I just picked up the old version from you guys 2 months ago. Well the old light is still great
Scorpion R/spec and Diablo are hits but the blackbird a swing and miss. Not even a bunt. And not better than a bar light. Bar fixtures have much better uniform coverage. But still a great light at the price point.
Nice light, the only hlg that I have and I am running at thr monet are the eco 550, I do want to upgrade to scorpions or r-spec but I am waiting to see if hlg will come out with solar powered lights, power rates increasing are killer these days. So if hlg is reading this then I hope you guys are working on some solar panel grow lights🤙🏾.
? What makes you think they are working on solar powered grow lights? If there was enough sunlight for a solar panel you wouldent really need a grow light right?
@@skywizard3148 I was asking a retorical question, grow lights are for areas that dont get any or enough sunlight so the idea of putting solar panels on them is well... absurd
@@rjay5506 No dude, the absurd thing is thinking that it wasn't simply as a power source. You can put solar panels places you might not be able to place plants.
@@skywizard3148 it is a pretty stupid concept. To have enough solar panels to power a grow light you would also need an ok inverter and the solar system would cost more than the lights

I recently bought this unit for a 4x4, but i went for a 5x5. How would this unit perform in a 5x5 ?

Samsung diodes are only popular because HLG used them and popularized them first, and everyone else copied their Samsung/Meanwell duo.
