I used "MDF" under appearances, not materials. Then right-click and duplicate the appearance, double-click it, select advanced, double-click roughness, and lower the brightness to make it darker brown. I apply the darker appearance to everything first. Then change the way you apply appearances from "body" to "faces", and apply your lighter value appearance to the large faces that do not get burnt from the laser.
The instruction you show for "Crop" after clipping mask doesn't work in my case. I am about to get crazy :) I do exactly what you but gives me an error saying "Please select two filled and overlapping paths ". Why doesn't it work?
well put together thanks!
The first method is great, thanks
how did you make your box have those materials and "pre burnt" edges..? cant find the material in fusion
