Perfection is a hard one to get over. I still struggle with it at times. I think trying to have fun with it and laughing at your mistakes is what really helped me. Keep going and you’ll get there! 😊👍
I now follow more artists who prefer a loose approach who are really passionate about that process. It’s helped me to get over perfectionism and realize I can have more fun with the process when I let that go.
The grasshopper is so cool!! 🤗 My daughter's favorite tree is the weeping willow, which is such a lovely tree. It's funny how rarely people draw or paint it! 🎨 Always fun to watch you draw!! 🖍
Thanks so much! You’re right, I can’t think of the last time I saw one painted. I love a willow tree! I have an older Timelapse video of painting a willow tree with buttons for leaves. 😊👍
I love your channel, new subscriber here!! scribbling is what feels best for me a lot of the time and you really encourage me to keep doing that, and also to not be so afraid of my neocolors.
Welcome! I’m so happy you’re enjoying the channel! There are so many great artists out there who scribble. If it’s what you enjoy the most, then go with it! I feel like that’s the best way to grow as an artist or creative. 😊👍
I can see that grasshopper with a tophat! I dunno why. xD Love both your intuitive paintings. I froze for whatever reason and copied a watercolor landscape that my grandmother did. xD
So you were feeling froggy 😂😂😂 Looks like you jumped! These turned out great. They feel familiar yet unique. I think the second one on the banks I liked more-mostly due to the contrasting colors. The grasshopper being blue was a good touch, and I like when people do different stuff like that. Sounded and looked like you were having fun! Can’t wait to see more! Thanks for sharing and I love your channel!
I loved your grasshopper he is so cute. This is how doing art used to be before internet came along bombarding everyone with billions of photographs instead of owning a few books on a shelf.
Honestly, it’s whatever I feel in the moment. The second landscape was definitely inspired more from my recent trip to a lake. I soak up the inspiration from everything I see. 😊👍
Fantastic grasshopper from memory!! And colours for the greenery🤩
Thanks! It turned out a lot better than I thought it would. That was a really fun page to create! I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! ❤️😊👍
I didn't realize a grasshopper could look sweet!!

Inspires me to play with my neocolors more! Thanks.
You’re very welcome! Happy to have inspired you! 😊👍
Awww he's so cute! Kudos to you being able to draw an insect without a reference, they're so fiddly and detailed
Thanks so much! He reminds me of Flik from “A Bug’s Life”.. if he was a grasshopper.😆👍
@artbyheather I think flick was the ant and hopper was the grasshopper. Love your art and how you make them in your sketchbook! ❤
neocolor pastels really are so fun aren't they? 🥰
Yes! Definitely the most fun I’ve ever had with an art supply! 😊👍
This is great. I do landscapes because I am not great at drawing.❤🇦🇺
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Landscapes are definitely my go to as well! ❤️😊👍
You make it seem so easy. I must get to art this week!
Thanks! I hope you get to create something this week! Even if it’s just a quick scribble session. 😊👍

He would be so cute with a little top hat! It’s ok if you had to change course. You still followed the flow of doing something. 😊👍

thanks, was great... but too short 🤪👋🏻🦗
Thanks for the feedback! It’s good to know that it wasn’t too long. I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊👍
Where do u get the inspiration for your landscapes? 😊
