Ok, so I know this much as an Accountant: At the start of my career journey at PwC I was presented with 2 options: work in Audit or work in the tax practice. So I chose Audit…. And this naturally led me to where I am today as a Corp Controller. But what if I had chosen Tax? Where would I be today?
Well today I am meeting with my friend and Colleague Jeff, who is a Corp Tax director
He is going to walk me through a Day in his life and the areas he is focused on
    I hope you enjoy it!!

Would love to hear more about career progression, specifically moving from public to industry in tax. Ideal time to make the switch, major differences, do you feel like it's easy to get rusty not being in public anymore? etc. - By the way, so excited for the TAX representation on this channel!!! - Senior tax associate in public

    Hi Bill,
You are amazing professional in both theoretical and practical case studies of your training methodology.
Taxation is very important topic in any country as government has significant share from the business operation and the profit indeed. Can you speak few points on how corporations are using tax loopholes for thier own advantage. Also, which business formations can have tax advantage from the other type?

I started in audit but jumped practices and industries between tax, enterprise valuation, technical AAS, transaction advisory in various top15 PA firms over 8 years. Today I'm a full time swissarmyman at a public company (i try to avoid accounting). I started as tax provision director because there was a need, then that turned into all of external reporting sec, tax compliance, done more business combinations here in 2 years than 8 years in PA, partnership jv formations, implementation of internal systems. Been a wild ride. This place I'm at, the org chart takes up a whole wall. Do you have to deal with forming partnerships jv? Section 704c?

Hi bill, your videos has really helped me in advancing my career. I am a hardworking person and I have just landed a job at a Big4 audit job. But I am feeling quite nervous. I’ve noticed that everyone at big4 is exceptionally sharp and eloquent speakers. I feel uncomfortable expressing myself in networking situations. I have been living in the states for 5 years but I overthink about my English speaking skills and accents. I perform well in interviews as I prepared myself in advance but I struggle with impromptu conversations and can’t even hold the conversations. I am concerned this might impact my career and teamwork. Can you please advice me how I can improve my team work and overcome my self doubt? Thanks for all the videos you’ve been posting!

Video idea: I am a junior accounting student and will be taking intermediate 1 very soon. If you could make a video giving us advice and tips and tricks to succeed in the class, that would be great, but no pressure, just an idea.

I don't know in which industry you are working in but indeed, international supply chain (sourcing, manufacturing/assembly, warehousing, consignments, ...) is incredibly complex to manage from a tax perspective - even in our case in the EU with so-called free circulation - you got many issues related to customs & duties, anti-dumping duties, VAT schemes, ... - I believe it's a very worthy tax specialization in our increasingly globalized world - if you are a young tax student.

Hello, I analyzed your TH-cam channel and found some problems. Though there much Subscriber. But I noticed one thing: according to your channel, your channel videos views are very low according to your channel subscriber. The reason is that, video isn't SEO completed, no low competitive and ranked tag used. So You need to optimize your channel and do video SEO to reach your target audience. If you do this, your channel will rank very fast. Otherwise, if you upload videos to your channel throughout the year, none of your videos will get viral views. Do you want to talk about it for a while?
