After talking with ICON staff at Overland Expo about the issue of finding a video or information on adjusting the settings I was told it would be taken back to ICON to produce and true to your word I'am glad to see it here. Thanks again Dale

I've got this brand on my 2010 Raptor SVT and I just recently discovered the knob. Thank you so much for explaining the settings. These were added to the truck by someone else, but I am trying to learn everything that I can about them from the source (you guys) thanks again for the info.

I have a stage 8 on order. However, It would be nice for future buyers to have a tutorial with some examples of each stage and what might be best for their situation. It's a lot to take in for newbies. . I probably could have gotten away with a 5........but if 5 is good an 8 or 9 must be awesome!!! JK I've been wearing my shop out with last minute decisions and I'm trying to get it done ASAP. Like if the CDC is even necessary for me.

      Hey Jeff,
We agree that our suspension systems can be a lot of information to digest for someone just starting out. We made a video a while back breaking down the basic philosophy behind ICON's staged systems, along with recommendations as to what type of system may be necessary for your scope of use. While the CDC Valve is not necessary, it's an extremely convenient feature to have if you want to fine tune the feel of your suspension!

And each system is designed per vehicle FYI for anyone thinking of diving in.

I just bought a truck that has them. Is there a maintenance routine I should follow?

Congrats on your new truck! Yes, like any high performance part there is some maintenance required to keep them in top working order. Please check out some of our other videos and also visit the shock service page on our website: news.iconvehicledynamics.com/icon-factory-shock-service/

I currently have the ICON 2.5 w/Res and CDC Valve on my 20ll Tacoma. Im planning on installing a Demello aluminum bumper and Smittybilt winch w/ synthetic line. Consider the added weight that my truck will be experiencing in the very near future, In your opinion will the 650# rated spring be more then enough to support the weight or should I upgrade to a 700# rated spring?

I have a Demello bumper and winch and am upgrading the springs with this next rebuild. Icon recommended the spring upgrade.

RecoveringUGrad unless you’re going with a steel bumper then I can see you upgrading to a 700# rated spring. However if your going with an aluminum bumper, 650# rated spring is more then enough. I have the Demello aluminum bumper with winch and synthetic line along with my ICON w/ 650# rated springs and it rides perfect.

I do have steel bumper, which is why I am going that route.

What is done to the tundra in the video? Is there a video or write up on it's specs?

    • @iconvehicledynamicstv

Hey Ryan, our Tundra is equipped with a Stage 9 ICON suspension system with a Stage 2 S2 secondary shock system. We're running 35x12.50" Nitto Trail Grappler tires on 17x8.5" ICON Alloys wheels.

Can the cdc be added to 2.5 remote resi coilovers?

    • @KeisukeTakemoto

I meant can they be added once I already used the 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers? Maybe once I send them in to be rebuilt?

Y’all’s shock set up on stock suspension travel will really let you send it? Shock technology has come so far. Congrats on making a legit as coilover and you maybe can soon congratulate me on a stage 5 icon kit.
